Wooden combs are rightfully considered the best; this material glides gently through the hair without electrifying it. The tree has a pleasant aroma and good energy. To make a comb you will need a board made of pine, birch or apple tree. In addition, you need a file, a grinder or a piece of sandpaper.

How to make a comb from wood

A comb is one of the most necessary items for both women and men. We use it daily. And the condition of our hair will depend on how well it is made. This is especially affected by the material from which this thing is made. The best option is definitely a wooden object. Wood does not electrify the hair, unlike plastic. It is natural and has its own unique aroma. But it’s rare to find such an item on sale, so it’s best to make it yourself.

What are pockets for?

In addition to replacement T-shirts and panties, the baby will need a comb, shoes for dancing and physical education, sportswear, a jacket, tights, and socks. Very little babies need a bib, girls need hairpins and rubber bands. Keeping it all in order without taking up too much space is the main purpose of hanging pockets.

How to make a hair comb

We take a wooden blank and place patterns cut out of paper on it.
Draw along the outline with a pen or pencil. For clarity, here is an example of our craft. You can print and cut out the sample.

The most difficult thing is to cut out the scallops with a jigsaw.

We smooth out the unevenness with sandpaper, remove the angularities at the edges so that the comb fits well into the surface.

Then we take finer sandpaper and polish. Those blanks that are without seals can already be coated with stain and varnish.

We draw the cat in the right place and carefully, using cutters, cut out the figure manually. We clean each stage in a timely manner with sandpaper.

We paint the homemade products with stain and let them dry completely. Then we repeat this in several layers.

Cover with special teak oil. We wait until it dries completely. If necessary, blot it with napkins.

1) Using a hacksaw or circular saw, cut out an 8 by 10 cm shape from a plank.

2) Afterwards the surface is polished. We use a polished wheel.

3) It is required to draw the geometry of the blank for the ridge.

4) Then cut along the contour using a saw.

5) The teeth are cut out on a comb using a circular comb with a blade width of 1.5, and the width of the teeth is left at 2.5 mm. You can also use another value.

6) When the teeth are cut, it is necessary to sharpen the plane of the comb at the edge.

7) Now you need to grind the teeth (sharpen) using a special nozzle and clean the grooves.

Afterwards the final look is achieved using sandpaper - zero.

Useful tips for making wood combs regarding sanding

  1. If you need to attach the skin to the surface, this can be done using simple silicate glue (stationery glue). Polymer adhesives soften when heated and rebound.
  2. If the skin is round, it is better to place it on a piece of vacuum rubber, in the center of which there is a metal axis. When installing the nozzle, press the washers on both sides. The skin is removed when the washers are relaxed.
  3. When initially making combs from wood, you can use a board from packing boxes - this will help you make good versions of combs and learn how to do more serious things.
  4. Don’t be afraid to experiment in terms of shape, size, etc. personal experience is irreplaceable.

Everyone uses combs. If you want to use an exclusive comb, you can make it yourself. Our article will tell you how to make a comb.

Combs made of wood have always been considered the highest quality, because wood does not “tear” or electrify hair. In addition, it has positive energy. For a comb, cherry, pear or apple tree are best. In addition to wood, you will need tools, namely: a jigsaw or circular saw, a grinding machine, sandpaper.

Master class on making a pocket

In this article we will not be able to consider all the options for pockets; there are a lot of them. Therefore, let's focus on the simplest.

Before you start making this useful thing, you need to decide on the size, number of compartments and materials.

Tools and materials

To sew a 25x70 cm sachet you will need the following tools and materials:

The following requirements are put forward for the base fabric: it must be durable, hold its shape well, not fade, be easy to wash and dry quickly. If you plan to sew from calico, then it is advisable to wash and dry it before cutting, since this fabric usually shrinks slightly.

Instructions

The preparatory stage has been completed, let's start cutting.

What is the difference between :: Types of combs

It is quite possible that a comb is one of the first human devices for personal care. Naturally, long hair had to be combed so that no parasites would appear in it. Ancient combs began to be found in Europe. They date back to stone

It is quite possible that a comb is one of the first human devices for personal care. Naturally, long hair had to be combed so that no parasites would appear in it. Ancient combs began to be found in Europe. They date back to the Stone Age.

Of course, the combs did not perform the functions that are assigned to them now; they were rather decoration and a class sign.

The first combs were made by ancient people from bone, wood or horn. In the East, women came up with the idea of combing their hair with a fish bone. What is a comb not invented by nature?

Among the Slavs, combs were hardly a magical object. Remember, in all fairy tales there are conspiracies, but what about throwing a comb, from which a forest then grows? But, of course, there was also a practical function. Slavic women wore long hair that had to be braided into wasps, and doing it evenly even without a primitive comb was very, very problematic. Men also needed such a device: their bowl haircut was trimmed and their beard combed. How could the elders deal with their hair otherwise than with a comb?

In Japan, there is an interesting tradition associated with combs: a young man made a comb especially for his chosen one. On the agreed day, he gave his beloved a gift made with his own hands. She, in turn, meticulously examined the work of the candidate for marriage and, after that, if a positive decision was nevertheless made regarding the candidate for family happiness, the girl pinned up her hair with it. Apparently, if a girl was stubborn and beautiful, she could easily fill the entire dressing table with combs.

The final stage of work

Cover the entire comb with matte varnish. Ideally, you need to apply 2 layers of varnish, waiting for each layer to dry. The result is such a beautiful and unusual comb.

Tip: acrylic paints and varnishes, until completely dry, can be easily washed off with plain water. Therefore, unsuccessful work can always be corrected. Also, to complete the look, you can decorate the comb handle on the other side.

In the same way, you can decorate any wooden object - a cutting board, a tea house, or even cabinet doors. Try, experiment, show your imagination, and your home will shine with new bright colors!

How to clean a comb, and why do it?

Before you start figuring out how to clean a comb, you will probably be wondering: why bother cleaning it?

When you comb your hair, small particles of skin and sebum accumulate on the comb. If you use styling products or dry shampoo, they will also build up on and between the teeth or bristles. In addition, when the comb lies and waits “in the wings,” dust accumulates on it.

If you don't clean your brush regularly, you end up combing it all back into your head. For example, if after washing your hair you use a comb that you haven’t cleaned for a long time, you will immediately stain your clean hair.

Editor's tip: To help reduce the buildup of dirt on your brush, try to choose a treatment that suits your hair type. Then the scalp will not become excessively oily or, conversely, flake. This means that pieces of fat or dry skin will not accumulate at the roots, and then between the teeth of the comb. For example, if you have thin hair that lacks volume, you can try Timotei Luxurious Volume Shampoo with guarana seed and pink grapefruit extracts.

How often should you clean your hairbrush?

To avoid introducing dirt into your hair and scalp, clean your brushes regularly. And it doesn’t matter what kind of comb it is. A massage brush that you use every day, a brush for styling or a thin comb for parting that you use as needed. Everything needs to be cleaned.

It is better to clean the comb from dust every day, and clean the hair and wash it once a week. Additionally, if you use styling products, you can wash your comb twice a week.

Editor's tip: To reduce the mess of your hair brush, choose lightweight styling products. We love the Toni&Guy Tousled Texture Creation HairSpray. This non-sticky product combines the properties of a styling varnish and a moisturizing spray.

How to clean a plastic comb or a wooden comb with natural bristles?

If your “massage” or brushing is made of plastic or wood, the simplest and most popular cleaning method will suit you. For this you will need a shallow cup of water, some shampoo, ammonia and an old toothbrush.

  • First of all, you need to clear the hair from the comb manually or using a thin plastic comb.
  • When the hair and large particles of dirt have been removed, you need to dilute the shampoo in a bowl and dip the comb into the solution. Plastic brushes can be completely submerged. It is better to place wooden ones on top of the bowl so that only the bristles are in the water. In addition, you can add a couple of drops of ammonia to the soap solution. This will remove grease from the brush more efficiently.
  • After ten to fifteen minutes, remove the comb from the water and again manually remove all loose, easily removable dirt particles. Then go over the base of the comb with an old toothbrush: the fine bristles will clean out any remaining dirt well.
  • Finally, place the comb to dry on a towel with the teeth or bristles facing up.

How to clean an electric comb?

If you have a hair dryer comb or an electric hair straightener, the above suggested cleansing method will only work if the device attachment is removable. If it is impossible to remove it, then the device cannot come into contact with water. So after you remove the hair from the brush, you can start cleaning it manually using wet wipes. Of course, this method will take a lot of time, but your hair will thank you in the end.

Table setting for the senior group

As a result, you should end up looking something like this:

As you can see, the setting is simple, but convenient for everyone sitting at the table. It fully complies with the rules of sanpin and helps maintain order in the group during meals.

Which material to choose?

Plastic combs

- the most inexpensive, durable and easy to maintain. The main thing is that the teeth of such a comb are well polished, then it will not injure your hair. But there is a serious drawback - plastic combs strongly electrify the hair. An alternative could be silicone combs. Silicone is similar in properties to plastic, but has antistatic properties.

Wooden combs

They comb your hair carefully (the main thing is that, as in the case of plastic ones, the teeth are well polished!), remove static electricity, but are capricious in care. After washing, they can not only darken, but also crack.

Metal combs

They also do not electrify the hair, but as a rule they injure the scalp and the curls themselves, so you should not use them often. Categorically not recommended for thin, brittle, colored and damaged hair.

Natural bristles

Delicately combs curls, does not harm the scalp, does not cause electrification, and prevents the occurrence of split ends. The whole secret is that there is no friction between natural bristles and our hair, since they are similar in structure, and therefore combing is gentle. Such combs are indicated for thin, weakened and blond hair. However, combs made from natural materials are not suitable if the scalp is oily or has pustular formations. In this case, such combs can become a “carrier” of infection and it is better to opt for plastic.

Festive table setting

We have selected several ideas for original table settings for children in kindergarten. We hope you find them useful!

If we are talking about graduation in a preparatory group, you can refuse hot meals in agreement with your parents. Pies, salads and cakes in an almost adult buffet format will undoubtedly appeal to children.

Want to create a festive atmosphere? Pay attention to the original decor. An unusually shaped napkin holder will add a cheerful mood to even a banal dinner. Choose it to match the pattern on the plates: it’s not difficult to make such a fly agaric yourself, but imagine how much joy it will bring to the kids?

We hope our recommendations will help you master the art of properly setting the dinner table in kindergarten. Moreover, we have collected for you not only recommendations in accordance with the 2022 SanPiNs, but also advice from real experienced educators who successfully use them in their practice.

Hair to hair

By the way
Your “humble wooden servant” needs cleanliness and care no less than your hair. Every week, before washing your hair, brush your comb with an old toothbrush lightly dipped in ammonia. After thoroughly rubbing each clove, rinse the scallop in a weak solution of baking soda. And don’t forget: it’s only yours – and no one else’s!

According to the French, recognized trendsetters, thoroughly washed and well combed hair is already a hairstyle. And who, if not the comb, can create and create it in collaboration with shampoo?

If you use hair styling products, before washing, comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb, removing tangles, and only then with a fine-tooth comb. This procedure will help remove dust, dirt, remaining hairspray from your hair and comb out dead skin cells.

A comb with rounded teeth knows its job, unlike the rest of the carding fraternity: it gently massages the delicate scalp, does not scratch it, and does not damage the hair.

After drying your hair after washing, again trust a wooden hairdresser, and not plastic combs and massage brushes with sharp teeth. They can pull out hair that is still slightly damp, less elastic, or split the ends.

Developmental environment (continued)

Hello, dear colleagues! About a month ago I already posted photos of our development environment , but time does not stand still, and we have new photos. My wonderful substitute Natalya Nikolaevna and I thank you, dear teachers, for the most interesting ideas. Maybe you’ll like something from us, we’ll be glad!

a new locomotive appeared in the reception area (thanks to Elena Seliverstova)

in every carriage there are poems

the carriages were painted in color with our walls

and for this wonderful idea, we thank Olga Pleshkova

Mirilka (poems are printed on the hearts)

It’s on our locker room door (Varenka’s mom knitted the circles for us, and we did the rest ourselves)

Last time, the glass in the locker room was decorated with stained glass film, but we removed it, painted the glass with white paint and now it is decorated with wood.

For this we need:

  • comb 3-4 cm long;
  • black wire;
  • black beads of various diameters;
  • black beads;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun

First we need to make the branches that will create a beautiful composition for your scallop. In the master class we used: black beads, glass black beads (medium, large), black beads (small, medium). When composing the composition, we will take symmetry into account, so we will make some branches in duplicate.

For the middle of the composition, we will make one branch of 5 stamens from small beads and 3 from large glass beads. Please note that the distance between the bead and the main trunk of the branch should not exceed 1 cm (this applies to each).

We will also make two branches from medium glass beads, two fluffier ones from one glass and six small beads. From beads we form four branches, three petals on each. One such loop will contain 9 black beads.

First, we connect the branches horizontally, having previously taken measurements of the scallop. You can immediately figure out whether its width is suitable for you in order to adjust the length of the branches. Then we attach the branches intended for the middle of the composition. As you can see, we immediately begin to combine different branches with each other. We wrap them together with loose wire.

Now we cut the wire, the length of which will be about 40 cm. We apply a composition of beads to the base of the comb, place the wire behind the comb, and pull both ends to the front side. We string a large black bead onto each end and wrap the comb with this wire. In this way we will decorate the front part of the scallop, which is located under the composition. This way we will secure it to the base.

On the reverse side we try to lay out the wire in one line and very carefully fill it with hot glue.

A comb made of beads and wire is ready to decorate your hair!
