They are good for making all sorts of children's crafts and interior decoration items. By the way, Cipollino made from vegetables can be imagined as a DIY craft made from natural materials for kindergarten. Preschool children are often given such tasks.
The work of creating Cipollino from natural material will undoubtedly attract the attention of the children, and will also benefit mother. Our hero, made from waste material, will grow, decorate the kitchen window sill and delight the household with fresh herbs.
To make Cipollino from onions and a plastic cup you will need:
- 2 plastic cups of different shapes and colors;
- paints or mom's nail polish;
- glue;
- scissors;
- a piece of plasticine;
- plastic cover;

First, let's deal with Cipollino's torso. We will need a glass and a lid. Cut out a round bottom in a blue cup.
We'll make the hero's hands out of red plastic. Let's cut out strips approximately 1 cm wide. Round the edges of the strips, that is, remove the corners and get small palms.
Glue the arms to the sides of the body. If desired, they can be left in the indicated position.
We decided to fix our palms on our tummy.
Next, glue the body to the plastic cover and paint the craft with red pants using varnish or paint. In principle, beautiful clothes can be cut out of colored paper. The main thing is to carefully water the bulb afterwards so as not to spoil the paper.
Cipollino's head is quite simple to design. You need to take a small sprouted onion and prepare doll eyes.
All that remains is to glue the parts to the bulb and paint the mouth with varnish.
We made the round nose of the craft from a piece of plasticine. At first, he categorically did not want to stick to the smooth surface of the onion peel, but we overcame his resistance. We demonstrate the result.
When the glue on all the parts had dried well, we filled the cup with soil purchased at the store. An onion with eyes was inserted into the hole. Our Cipollino made from onions and a plastic cup is ready.

Cut a hole in the bottom of a yogurt cup with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm.
Turn it upside down and glue it to the plastic lid. This will be the body, which is also the base for holding the bulbous head.
Glue the eyes onto the bow and draw other parts of the face with a marker.
We cut out the arms and legs for the character from cardboard. Here you can completely surrender to your imagination and creativity, choosing the shape and coloring that you like.
We glue the prepared and painted body parts to the cup. We wait until the glue dries.
You can pour a little moistened soil into an inverted glass through a hole in the bottom. Then the “crest” of Cipollino’s craft will grow a little every day.
Monkey
Monkey for our competition in the category “Fabulous New Year”. The master class was prepared by Asmik Oganjanyan, 11 years old, under the guidance of teacher V.A. Zolotoy.
2016 is the year of the fiery Monkey. Although monkeys don’t live in Russia, we still meet them when we visit. We suggest making a funny monkey using papier-mâché technique and dressing it in a sundress.
Materials:

For the handles you need a short wire, so you need to unwind the tail from the ball only 60 cm, for the legs - 100 cm, for the tail - 120 cm (this is the middle), do not cut the thread, since the thread will still unwind from the ball. Make the fingers of your left hand into a “pistol”, throw threads on them, and pinch the tails. Pass the wire under the thread near your thumb, grab the thread near your index finger and pull it towards your thumb, slip off the loops and tighten on the wire.
Knit the paws and tail. Bend the edge of the wire on the paws and wrap the edge around the tail.
For the sundress, prepare a piece of fabric 50\15 cm. Fold it in half and stitch it.
Fold again, but so that the seam is in the middle. Pass from above, catching both edges with a “forward needle” seam, and pull together.
Make holes with an awl and glue the monkey's paws. Glue on the eyes and nose. Put the sundress blank on the monkey and glue it.
Glue the straps of the sundress directly onto the monkey and seal the seam with ribbon. After this, you can tape the top of the sundress with ribbon.
For the paws, prepare circles with a diameter of 6 cm, trim them in a circle, stuff them with holofiber and pull them together, put them on the paw, secure them and decorate them with a ribbon.
Do the same on all the paws, just don’t glue ribbons on the arms, as if it were a monkey wearing mittens.
For bangs, wrap the knitting threads around your fingers, remove and tie.
You can make a bow on your bangs, on your ponytail, and decorate your dress with half beads.
