And almost any materials are suitable for production: beads, fabric, buttons, coffee beans, cereals and unnecessary discs.

The first step is to choose the material; the desired result depends on it. Below are the most popular means for making beautiful and effective decor.

Tree

For many years, the most popular element for creating interior crafts has been wood. Great demand is due to availability, environmental friendliness and durability. For the background, a wooden panel of the required size is selected.

The future panel can be decorated around the perimeter from wooden blocks with your own hands. Cones, stones and fir branches will help you assemble a beautiful composition in the center.

Using branches it is easy to create a beautiful flower and paint it with the desired color. Having artistic skills, the picture can be safely supplemented with drawings.

Textile

The color variety and lightness of the fabric makes it the most convenient material for making wall panels. Any textile is suitable for work, the main thing is that the palette matches the overall style of the room. Additionally, you will need thin cardboard and colored threads.

Compositions with flowers and butterflies look fresh and elegant. Stages of work:

• Blanks are sketched and cut out on the material.
• The fabric is carefully glued to the cardboard without pressing the edges.
• Volumetric crafts look much more interesting, so the petals can be glued in layers, one after the other, to the desired volume.
• The finished work can be decorated with beads, seed beads or glass beads.

The minimalist style refuses unnecessary details, but it will appreciate a panel made of one material without additional elements. Therefore, you can choose a plain fabric with a ready-made ornament.

Cardboard can be replaced with a thin wooden plank. The material is pulled tightly onto the base so that there are no folds and is fixed on the back side with glue or a stapler.

As a rule, frames are not used for fabric panels; this approach allows you to make the decor more versatile and modern. To make the product even more voluminous, you can put foam rubber or cotton wool under the fabric.

Paper

Paper is considered the most affordable material; its significant advantages are a large selection of colors; it is easy to paint and cut. The thickness and dimensions can be any - from a thin piece of paper to thick cardboard.

Butterflies, birds and flowers made from paper look very beautiful. The first step is to cut out figures from colored paper or colored napkins with a suitable pattern. You can sketch the blanks yourself or use ready-made templates.

Monochrome design is suitable for almost any interior; for this purpose, many shades of the same range are selected, for example, from light pink to cherry color.

The very first piece is completely glued to the base, the remaining parts are partially fixed for volume. The finished composition is complemented by small decor in the form of pebbles, beads, sequins or rhinestones.

If some details are the same color or style as the walls, this will make the overall design much more attractive.

Photos

Modern interiors love to use photographs to decorate walls, so a panel made from photographs will become a chic accessory for any home. Original frames will help you highlight your favorite photos, and to make them you will need thick cardboard.

The background can be painted in pastel or neutral colors; it is advisable to avoid bright colors - they can turn all the attention to themselves. For a large family, you can create a family tree:

• The base is prepared - with artistic painting, shells, coffee beans, pebbles, etc., it all depends on imagination and personal taste.
• A tree shape is cut out of thick paper and glued to the prepared base.
• All selected photos are distributed on the branches.

Photos of different sizes and shapes located asymmetrically will look much more interesting. Black and white options are appropriate almost everywhere, and when choosing colorful photos, you should choose beautiful landscapes.

How to choose the type of foam

On sheets of any production, small holes may occasionally appear, but they are not considered a defect.
When cutting, several parts of complex shapes are cut out from one sheet; You can always choose a layout in which the hole remains in the edge. Worse, if the sheet is painted unevenly or its thickness varies from edge to edge, such defects often make high-quality work impossible.

In general, similar material from different manufacturers differs in some parameters.

Iranian foamiran

The material is traditionally considered the highest quality on the market. It can be purchased in individual sheets measuring 60x70 cm, A4 (21x31 cm) or in rolls. The advantages of Iranian products are:

• Fine-porous structure , with a high level of elongation and excellent shape retention.

• Wide color palette: more than 30 shades, from rich to pastel.
• The Iranian product is pleasantly predictable: under the influence of heat, the parts are somewhat reduced in size, which must be taken into account when cutting.

Chinese

Its main advantage is the price, half that of the product from an Iranian factory. It has a thicker, rougher structure, resembles matter and stretches less well.

• When ordering a product online, you can receive both excellent foam and not the quality you expected. The risks also concern physical properties: when heated, the part will not shrink, but increase in size, or even bubble.
• The Chinese product is supplied in rolls of 1x2 m, sheets of 0.5x0.5 m or A4 format.
• The advantages of the Chinese product are good tensile strength (better than Iranian) and an inspiring palette of shades.

Other

Korean and Turkish materials are similar to their Iranian counterpart in many respects. Korean is varied in the range of colors, does not tear, the thickness of the sheets is 0.6-0.8 mm. The Turkish product is less diverse in palette and is produced in rolls and sheets 1 mm thick.

When making flowers from foamiran for the interior, other types of plastic suede are used:

• Marshmallow foam. The material is soft to the touch and produces exquisite products. A difficult variety to work with, it can exhibit different properties. Thin, up to 1 mm, material expands when heated. Several layers are glued together when heated, which is used to create thick and complex parts, such as berries.

• Decorative (textured) shape. More specific to use. There are materials with patterns, embossing, self-adhesive, glitter (with sparkles), fly varieties. Finds application in scrapbooking, for holiday decor, appliques, decorations; Children love to work with him.

Original kanzashi technique

Even beginning craftswomen can master a panel on the wall with their own hands using the kanzashi technique. And working with colored ribbons is easy. Ribbons are used to create voluminous bouquets, New Year's compositions, and everything that will give the home comfort. To work you will need:

1. Tweezers;
2. Lighter;
3. Colored threads;
4. Decorative little things - beads or rhinestones.
5. Wax candle;
6. Glue gun.
7. A large photo frame will work as a base.
8. Colored ribbons 5 cm wide.

The glass frame is transferred to the prepared material and outlined. The fabric is cut along the contour. For the petals, take a ribbon and cut out a square 5 by 5 cm, the edges of the cut are processed with candles.

A piece of tape is folded diagonally three times, the resulting corner is treated with fire so that the part does not fall apart. By analogy, the required number of petals is collected, they are fastened with thread and form a flower. A bead is glued to the center.

What is foamiran?

From foamiran you need to cut out shapes in the shape of bird feathers. Mark the center with a pencil, draw a line along the entire “feather”. Next you need to make the fringe. Start cutting the foamiran into thin strips towards the center. Do not make too many cuts to avoid tearing the material.

Having formed 5-6 such blanks, collect them together and glue them together at the base. Pierce the cones with wire so as to secure them tightly to the base. Let's look at how to make New Year's lanterns that are suitable for decorating a Christmas tree or room decor. If you do everything carefully, the products will look no worse than factory ones, and they can be successfully sold at various New Year's fairs or via the Internet.

Manufacturing instructions:

• Cut out 4 wall blanks in the form of windows with cross-shaped partitions. You will also need a bottom to match the size and 4 triangles for the roof.

• a small sheet of foamiran;
• glue gun;
• large hole punch.

For this craft, you need to select a foam topiary blank in the shape of an egg. The size can be loved. Using a hole punch, make holes in the foamiran. They are what you need. Start gluing the resulting circles to the workpiece using a glue gun. You need to move from the bottom up to layer the circles of foamiran on top of each other, forming something like scales.
