How to make a gift box with your own hands - step-by-step instructions

A beautifully wrapped gift is already half the success. Of course, today there is no shortage of packaging boxes - money can buy a product of any size. But the price for such packaging is often high, especially during the holidays, when the demand for them increases several times. Therefore, it is much easier to make it yourself, just have the necessary materials and show a little imagination.

The easiest way is to use a regular empty box, but at the same time decorate it beautifully by covering it with wrapping paper. And knowing how you can make an original gift box with your own hands, you can easily surprise your loved ones and friends. Moreover, there are a lot of blanks that can be used to quickly and effortlessly make packaging of any size and shape. Such a gift will certainly be the center of attention.

What you need to make a gift box from cardboard and paper

Before you start creating a gift option, you need to make sure that you have everything you need at hand:

  • thick corrugated and thin colored cardboard;
  • glue (PVA or gun);
  • tape (double-sided).

For ease of work, you will also need scissors, a stationery knife, and a ruler.
And, of course, you need to stock up on all kinds of decor - beads, lace, twine, decoupage napkins, etc.

Well, then everything is extremely simple: choose the template you like, print it out, trace it on cardboard, cut it out as carefully as possible, connect the parts and that’s it, the packaging is ready! All that remains is to decorate it, using your imagination and the preferences of the person (favorite color, hobbies) to whom the gift is intended.

You can also use a ready-made box at home, for example, a shoe box. Of course, you can’t give it away in its original form, so you’ll have to try: cover it with special paper on the outside and inside. By the way, in addition to paper, you can also use fabric. Want to decorate with more ribbon? It should be three times the perimeter of the product itself. If there are decorative elements, they are simply glued on. You can use stickers, flowers, lace and whatever you have on hand.

A wide variety of options

air heart

A heart-shaped craft can impress anyone. Therefore, boldly get down to business and put your whole soul into it.

  • In order to make a beautiful heart that will fit perfectly into any interior, you will need to buy two balloons from the store, from which they make different flowers and animals.

You will also need scissors, transparent glue and thick threads. Decide on the color yourself. But red and white look beautiful.

Inflate the balloons and make a semicircle out of them, tie them so that they do not come undone. Soak the threads in glue in advance.

After inflating the balloons, you need to take the thread and start wrapping the balloons with it. To make the structure strong and weighty, do not spare the threads and wind as many layers as possible.

We send our craft to dry. As soon as it dries, you need to burst the balls and get them out from the inside. We have two halves of a heart.

We recommend reading:

Now they need to be connected together. To do this, take one and cut it a little. We insert the second half into this cut. Glue it again.

  1. Such a souvenir can be hung in the room, or it can be presented in this form.

Paper heart craft

This type of craft is the simplest. But you can get a little confused and come up with something unusual.

Option 1. Postcard

Take colored cardboard and draw a huge heart on it. Cut out the blank and roll around the perimeter.

  • Inside such a card you can draw a picture or write a love wish.

Option 2. Flying hearts

Such beautiful hearts of different sizes will be an excellent decoration for a room or work area. To create such hearts you will need to buy special paper for decoration.

We recommend reading:

Draw a large number of hearts on paper using a pencil. Let's cut them out. On each heart we make a small cut in the middle. And glue it together. It looks like a three-dimensional heart.

This composition is great for decorating panels and for hanging on the wall. You can sew a felt pillow and glue flying hearts. It will turn out very impressive.

Option 3. Decorate the box

In order to decorate the box beautifully, you need to purchase a gift in a heart-shaped package. But giving it in a regular wrapper is not so presentable, so you can experiment a little and make a beautiful gentleman’s heart.

Necessary materials:

  • Colored paper in black, red and white;
  • Marker;
  • Glue;
  • Scissors;
  • Red satin ribbon.
  1. Stages of work:

We recommend reading:

  1. Cut out a black, red and white heart from paper. They should be the same size as the box.
  2. Cut out the middle of the black heart, leaving only the edges. Cut off a small tick at the bottom of the red heart and a larger tick at the top. These checkmarks should be made from white paper.
  3. Let's start gluing. Glue a red heart onto the lid. We fill the voids with white paper - these are two ticks. Glue a black heart around the edges. Draw buttons with a marker. Glue on a satin bow.

Photos of heart crafts will allow you to create a craft step by step.

This makes it much easier to create beautiful decorations and make different cards.

Craft volumetric heart

This heart can also be made in several ways.

Option 1

In order to sew such a toy you will need red and white felt, threads, padding polyester, and scissors.

Draw two hearts of the same size on felt. We cut out wings from white fern.

We compress two hearts, but leave a small hole. You need to insert a padding polyester into this hole and place a stick. Sew up the hole.

  • Yes, and don’t forget to place the wings in the right place during stitching and stitch them.

Option 2

This heart is made from thin red papyrus paper. Fold the paper in several layers and cut out a small heart. In general, you should get 10-15 such hearts.

To prevent our hearts from falling apart, we need to stitch them in the middle. Hands take a long time, so use a sewing machine. Do not cut the thread at the root, it should be long. For her we will hang our hearts.

Now you need to give the heart a shape, straighten all the petals. That's it, our heart is ready.

Craft cold heart

Olof the snowman can be made from fluffy pompoms. To do this you will need cardboard, white wool, black thread, glue, scissors, ready-made eyes and colored paper to create a nose and mouth.

First of all, we prepare blanks for our pom-poms. These should be 8 ovals of different sizes. We take two at a time and start wrapping them with wool. There must be a lot of it so that our snowman turns out voluminous. We cut the wool along the perimeter and tie it in the middle with thread. Let's fluff up the pompom.

As a result, you should have three pompoms of different sizes. We begin to attach the balls to each other.

  1. Now you can glue eyes, hairs, make a carrot nose out of colored paper and glue buttons.
  2. Weave a scarf from three thick brown threads and tie it on our snowman.

And for those who took the meaning of the craft literally and are not a fan of the famous cartoon “Frozen,” you can make a craft from water. To do this, find a heart-shaped mold, pour water into it and put it in the refrigerator for several hours. The heart is ready. It's a pity that it will melt very quickly.

The best templates and tips for making your own birthday gift box

You can pack the gift in any original box made by yourself. The main thing is that it matches the occasion and, of course, is made with love, from the heart.

Simple square

Making such a box is as easy as shelling pears. You will need square sheets of paper, it is better to take cardboard. On one, from one corner to the other, draw lines that will intersect in the center.

First you need to bend one part of the leaf to the center, then the second, do the same with the top and bottom parts. Make cuts along the fold lines as shown in the photo. Next, simply glue the sides together using PVA or a glue gun. All that remains is to make the lid. For it, use a sheet 5 mm larger. And, of course, decorate at your own discretion.

Round box template

Round packaging looks original and chic. To make this, you will need cardboard that is not too thick. Two circles and the same number of rectangles are cut out of it. One circle will be the outer bottom, and the second will be the inner one.

The lid is made according to the same pattern, but all the parts are 1 cm larger than the first workpiece. Next, collect the details and think about the decor. Quilling techniques, fabric flowers, all kinds of appliqués, etc. are perfect for this purpose.

Schemes for making paper gift boxes in the shape of a pyramid and a Christmas tree for the New Year

Let's use the blank again. It must be carefully cut out, then attached to the sheet and circled, cut out again.

Punch with a thick needle, using a ruler, the outer parts and the central square and bend the workpiece along the resulting lines.

Make holes at the top of the petals using a hole punch.

Thread threads or ribbon through them according to the pattern suggested below.

That's all. Now place the gift in the center of the box and tighten the ties. A hanging tag (option for men) or rhinestone decoration (for girls) will help add originality.

The gift option in the form of a Christmas tree is truly New Year's. It's very easy to do if you follow the template. The most important thing is to trim the workpiece nicely and very carefully around the edges.

The progress of work is practically no different from the previous box:

  1. Let's make something like this.

  2. We bend along the main lines and pierce a hole at the top of each side.
  3. We glue or tie with a rope threaded through the holes and decorate.

How to make a heart shaped box. Gift box in the shape of a heart

Is Valentine's Day coming up or an important date for your relationship? And you don’t know what to give your loved one. You can make a romantic one with your own hands. For example, make a heart-shaped box, inside of which there will be 50 (or other number) reasons why you love your soul mate.

To do this, you will need thick Whatman paper, scissors, PVA glue, a pen, bright fabric (or colored paper) and various decorations, moment glue. For a heart-shaped box, cut out two hearts. One heart should be slightly larger than the other (so that the lid can be easily put on). You will also need two narrow strips of whatman paper (this will be the side wall of the lid) and two slightly wider strips (the side of the base of the box). We cut teeth on the edges of the strips so that they stick better.

Then we apply glue along the edge of the heart, take a strip and, bending it along the line of the heart, glue it. We do the same with the other strip. We do the second part of the box in exactly the same way. It’s okay if it’s not straight here and there, all the imperfections will be hidden by the decorations. Then we take the heart template (which we used for the lid), apply it to the fabric and trace it along the contour. We cut out the fabric, leaving allowances of 5-7 millimeters on all sides. Place the cardboard heart on the fabric, fold the edges of the fabric and glue it with glue. Now we glue the resulting pink heart to the lid of our box. To decorate the edges of the box, you can glue lace (or ribbon) along the contour. To cover the defects inside the base of the box, cut out a heart from paper and glue it inside. You can decorate the top with an openwork napkin. Flowers and lace are suitable to decorate the top of the lid. And the uneven edges of the heart can be hidden with a glitter ribbon. As a result, you will get an elegantly decorated box. But you still need to deal with the content. Inside the box there will be small folded pieces of paper on which will be written the reasons why you love your partner. You can cut the paper into pieces and write the reasons by hand, or you can type all the reasons on the computer and print them out. We roll each piece of paper into a tube and tie it with ribbon or thread. We put the finished pieces of paper in a box and the gift is ready. Your loved one will definitely love this gift.

    Making a heart-shaped box is not difficult, you just need to put in a little diligence and the goal will be achieved.

    You will need a few materials: thick paper, preferably cardboard, so that the box is rigid enough and holds its shape securely, scissors, a pencil, lace ribbon, embossed or other beautiful paper for pasting the outside of the box. Arm yourself with patience and get started.

    First we make the blanks for the future box.

    At the base of the box we make an indent of approximately 3 mm from the edge and draw a line. We bend the side part, cover it with beautiful paper and glue it to the bottom.

    The sidewall consists of two parts. We glue them sequentially, carefully adjusting the parts to each other.

    We cut off pieces of tape and attach the box lids.

    Cut out the inside of the bottom of the box and glue it to the base.

    Now it's time to get the lid in proper shape.

    There is little left to do - finishing the finished product so that it is pleasing to the eye.

    For lovers of the exotic, I discovered on the Internet the idea of a box in the shape of an anatomical heart. I'm sharing.

    The finished box looks like this.

    To make such a heart-shaped box, you need to cut out two hearts of the same shape from paper/cardboard, as well as a straight strip (which will be the walls of the box) with teeth that need to be folded to glue the strip to the heart. The top heart, which will play the role of a lid, can be secured with tape, and then the entire resulting structure can be decorated.

    Another option for making such a box can be seen, for example, here:

    For your beloved half, you want to pack a gift in a special way, beautifully and so that quot;not like everyone elsequot;:))

    A gift wrapped in a heart-shaped box is the best way to tell your other half about your feelings.

    A heart-shaped gift box is an essential attribute of Valentine's Day.

    How to make a heart-shaped gift box with your own hands?

    See the detailed master class here

    a DIY heart-shaped gift box for your partner for Valentine's Day

    To do this, prepare the necessary quot; equipmentquot;, these are: cardboard, corrugated paper, scissors and glue.

    You make a box of any size you need. To do this, cut out two hearts from cardboard (you can use any cardboard packaging) and assemble the box, as shown in the master class

    below. Decorate it to your liking or like this:

    You can put sweets or some other surprise in such a box.

    We take red paper, cut out the heart so that it turns out evenly, bend it in the center and align both parts. Then we cut the strip into cloves and glue it to one heart by dripping a little glue. The video clearly shows the order of gluing the heart box.

    When you start looking for a box in the store, there’s nothing good, or it’s made very carelessly, or there’s no choice. A very good option is to make the box yourself, it is very easy to do. It is enough to cut out the desired shape from cardboard and bend, fold, and you can decorate it as you please, whatever you love and know how to do.

    and here is another diagram of a heart-shaped box

    You can also see in the video how to make such a heart box.

    Not only for Valentine's Day, but also for March 8th, you can make a heart-shaped box with your own hands,

    in which we will later put a small but original gift.

    For this we will need: golden cardboard, scissors, tape or paper clips, a knitting needle, as well as a sheet of paper and a printer.

    -we will print a template of our product on a printer;

    - fasten the template to the cardboard using tape or paper clips;

    - cut out the blank according to the template;

    We press along the lines with a knitting needle or another not too sharp object, for example, a blunt toothpick;

    -we collect our box.

    So the most beautiful box is ready, which, it seems to me, any woman will accept from us with gratitude, and her sweet eyes will beam with genuine delight!

    How to wrap a gift on Valentine's Day? Well, of course, in a heart-shaped box :)

    I have a similar question quot; how to make a heart-shaped box? quot;

    You can make a box of the size you need from thick paper or cardboard according to the diagrams below.

    On Valentine's Day

    the most important symbol is the heart. If you are going to give a gift to your significant other, then it is better to use a gift box also in the shape of a heart. But it can be very difficult to find it on sale. And why spend money when you can make such a thing with your own hands. It's not as difficult to do as it seems.

    To work you will need:

    • cardboard,
    • gift paper,
    • glue,
    • scissors,
    • satin ribbon.

    From cardboard (it’s best to take one that’s not too thick), you need to cut out a heart-shaped piece. The second blank should be cut a couple of millimeters wider in diameter, since this will be the lid, and so that it covers the box, we make the blank a little larger.

    On the same cardboard we draw 4 long stripes. The width of the strip will be the width of the box, so we choose it ourselves depending on the gift. We add teeth to one side of each strip and cut out the result.

    Glue two strips with the teeth down to the bottom of the box, and glue two strips to the lid.

    After gluing, the box is ready, but it doesn’t quite look like a gift. Inside the box, so that the teeth are not visible, you can stick thin colored paper. The top of the box can be decorated with a satin ribbon, applique, bow, rhinestones or stones.

    The most important point in making such a heart-shaped box is to make a cardboard base for it. You will need to decide on the size of the box and start cutting it from thick cardboard, if it is just a gift box in which the main gift will be placed, or from a light thin sheet of plywood, if this box is planned to be used in the future to store various things.

    We economically place on cardboard drawings in the form of two hearts (for the bottom and lid) and two long rectangular bases (one twice as wide is the side of the box itself, and the second smaller one is the side of the lid). At each side we cut notches along the entire length of one long side, which will then be attached to the lid and bottom of the box with glue. We will also connect the edges and glue them or secure them with paper clips using a stapler. After the base of the box is ready, you will need to beautifully drape it with any material of your choice. This could be a beautiful fabric, or appliqués made of something, or glass beads, beads, or any other craft material. Here you can give free rein to your own imagination. :-)

A very good and detailed master class
on the topic “
how to make a box with your own hands
” from user Naiados from Liveinternet.ru.
The box is made in the shape of a heart and decorated using scrapbooking techniques. Try making a beautiful DIY box
with these easy to follow instructions. And don't forget to show the result! =) Good luck!

What will you need?

  • office white paper
  • simple pencil
  • compass
  • ruler
  • scissors
  • thick cardboard (you can use old boxes)
  • a sheet of brown cardstock (or thick paper)
  • sheet of thick paper with a pattern
  • Ranger distress ink (for a vintage feel)
  • various decorations for decorating the box

How it's done?

  • On regular office white paper, draw a heart template. The radius of the circle (3.7 cm), the length of the straight line drawn down at the points of contact of the two circles (11 cm).
  • Cut out the template, then trace it on a new sheet of regular office paper. Draw a dotted line along the edge at a distance of 3 mm from the edge and cut out a new heart, which will be slightly smaller than the previous one.
  • We now have two cut out heart templates. We also make the third template, but we retreat from the edge by 5 mm, and we also cut it out. In total you will get three hearts of different sizes.
  • From an old box (or thick cardboard) using our templates we make denser heart blanks. Let's number them so as not to get confused.
  • Take a sheet of brown thick cardstock, outline and cut out a heart according to the largest template - 2 pieces. This will be the base.
  • Take a sheet of beautiful thick paper with a pattern and cut out hearts from it. Large - 2 pcs. Medium - 1 pc. Small - 1 pc.
  • Glue a brown cardstock heart to a pretty paper heart. Both are large in size. In total you should get two hearts glued to each other. On one side there is cardboard, on the other there is paper with a pattern.
  • We take one of the hearts glued together and, from the side of the brown cardstock, trace the heart with a pencil according to the smallest template. We do the same with the second glued hearts, but we outline a medium-sized heart. This is done in order to glue the sides evenly, so the line should not be very bold.
  • We tint the edges with Ranger Distress Ink to give it a more vintage look.
  • Now we make the sides. We draw with a pencil on brown cardstock according to the dimensions indicated in the diagram. There should be 2 pieces of each option.
  • Cut out the cloves.
  • Glue the sides to the bases. We glue the sides measuring 19.5 cm to the base with the smallest heart drawn in the middle with a pencil. This is the bottom part of the box.
  • Accordingly, we glue the sidewalls with a size of 20.5 cm onto the base (of two glued hearts) with a medium-sized heart drawn. And this is the lid of the box.
  • It is more convenient to apply glue directly to the teeth. The dark spots along the edge of the cardboard are the ink that was used to tint the edges.
  • We cut out strips of paper that we will use to cover the sides.
  • Dimensions: 2 cm x 19.6 cm (2 pcs.) - glue the inside of the bottom of the box;

2 cm x 19.7 (2 pcs.) - glue the outer part of the bottom of the box;
2.2 cm x 20.7 (2 pcs.) - glue the inside of the box;

  • We choose paper to match the one used in the hearts.
  • Glue it.
  • We tint the edges of the sides to hide the cuts and give a finished look.
  • Inside the middle of the top part of the box we glue a previously cut out medium-sized heart from beautiful paper. Similarly, in the middle of the bottom of the box we glue a small heart from the same paper. The edges of these hearts can be pre-tinted.
  • Now you can start decorating. Glue lace to the outside of the lid or decorate it with something else if desired.

Master class and photos from the blog
Good afternoon. Today we will learn how to make heart-shaped boxes

, or with a heart pattern for Valentine's Day. You will find a variety of boxes - flat and cubic, high and low valentine boxes on this page of our website. I will provide ready-made templates for boxes with a heart, which you can copy (enlarged) directly from the site, or draw a similar drawing to suit your desired dimensions. You can use these boxes with hearts made of paper or cardboard as elegant packaging for Valentine's Day. It’s so nice when they put a small paper masterpiece with hearts in your hands, inside of which a surprise awaits you.

So let's start our work.

Flat boxes with heart

For Valentine's Day.

Here is the first craft - a heart-shaped box made from pink paper. It is better to take thin cardboard or thick craft paper from a special craft store.

This valentine box is tied with a bow to make it more elegant. The bow ribbon is inserted into the slits on the walls of the hearts.

Here is the template for this heart box.

You can copy this picture to a sheet of Word - enlarge it by dragging the mouse on the corners of the picture, and print it out.

Or if you don't have a printer

– you can place a sheet of paper directly on the glowing computer screen and trace the template lines with a pencil, which will shine through the sheet.
To enlarge the image on the screen, you need to press Ctrl
button on the computer keyboard with one hand, and with the other hand, scroll
the mouse wheel
(towards you - zoom out, away from you - to increase).

Or do it even easier

.
Look at the template below - it consists of three parts - squares, semicircles, and a rectangle. Therefore, to lay out such a template yourself, you need to cut out 3 parts from cardboard.

  • A square of the size you want the box inside.
  • Crook (with the width of a square) - we fold it in half, we get half a circle.
  • A rectangle (with a length equal to the side of a square), the width of the rectangle is any.

And now we outline these parts on a sheet of paper, placing them in the same places as in the drawing below. – and we get the contours of an expanded heart box, as in the diagram below.

Or the template for this Valentine craft may look a little different - based NOT on a SQUARE, but based on a TRIANGLE. Like in the photo below. That is, a heart is a triangle, to the long side of which (the hypotenuse) 2 semicircles were added - it turned out to be a heart.

The diagram below shows how to use 3 cardboard templates

(
triangle
made of cardboard,
two semicircles template,
and
long strip
) - you can fold the diagram of this box with a heart.

Please note that this drawing of a box with a heart is a practical COPY of the previous template, only here we have added jumper ears (red lines in the diagram). On each jumper we make an incision with scissors. Due to this cut, the jumpers close to each other.

We make holes for the elegant ribbon tie with a hole punch (round or shaped), or with scissors we make slits for the ribbons.

And if you use the SAME PATTERN (only without the long ears) to make TWO HEART BOXES, then they can be inserted one into the other. As in the photo below. Because the main conditions of this craft are met - the heart is drawn on the basis of a TRIANGLE, with an angle of 90 degrees.

If the angle is not equal to 90 degrees, then the boxes will not fit into one another. There is no adhesion between the two halves of the box.

Decorated box with a heart.

You can fold the template for a box with a heart of ANY SHAPE

. In the photo below we see a template where the angle of the tip of the heart is not equal to 90 degrees. And we get a beautiful craft in the form of a pointed heart-package. A beautiful box with a heart, which you can decorate to your taste, with flowers, lace, rhinestones.

VERTICAL STANDING boxes

Heart shaped.

And here is a craft in which the box with the heart does not lie on its side (as in the previous boxes) but stands vertically in all its glory. The heart makes up the front face of the tall box. In the diagram below, the dotted lines show the fold lines of the box.

IMPORTANT NOTE – the fold lines will then be folded perfectly straight if you use a ruler

when bending cardboard. We place a ruler on the future fold line, press it firmly to the table with one hand, and lift the plane of the cardboard with the other. A ruler holding the fold line will not allow the cardboard to become wrinkled - and the fold line will look like a factory one.

You can ADD the same heart-shaped box with decorative perforation (that is, a holey pattern). Below is a template for such a pattern. You can choose a different perforated pattern. The holes of such a lining are cut in advance, while the box is flat - they are cut with a stationery knife, slowly and leisurely in a calm, non-nervous atmosphere.

And here is another beautiful idea for a VERTICAL box with a heart made by yourself. And also with a perforated openwork pattern.

Take a closer look and you will see how easy it is to make such a box with a heart. Here inside we have a regular square box and cardboard (schemes for assembling a classic box are given in the article Crafts for Valentine's Day).

But the outside of this square box is WRAPED with this lace part. Now I will try to draw a pattern for the layout of this lace part.

You can take any pattern of an openwork heart made of paper - and use this stencil to create the side walls of such a box with a heart pattern. There are many such heart templates on the Internet.

BOXES with heart

IN THE FORM OF A CUBE

With my own hands.

Now let's see what CUBIC boxes can be made with decor in the form of valentine hearts.

Here is the first model of a three-dimensional box with a heart. The base of the CLASSIC CUBE box - in the diagram below

you see the layout of the cube. But this cube is supplemented with heart-shaped growths. That is, the front and back walls of the cube have extensions in the form of hearts.

Let's draw a diagram. It does not have to be copied from a computer. Just take a square of cardboard. Unfold a large sheet of paper on the table - and place this cardboard square on the sheet and trace it with a pencil (this will be the bottom), then trace the same template square 4 more times on 4 sides of the first square (these will be the 4 walls of the drawing). Then circle this square template again (where the top cover should be). Then cut out a heart from rough paper (such a size that its side is no longer than the side of the square. Also attach this heart template to our diagram next to the upper and lower cube (circle with a pencil). Now your diagram is ready. It remains to add small zones sizing, draw by hand (it doesn’t matter straight or not straight).

Boxes with a heart-slot

in the side walls.

Here's another box with hearts cut into a cube.

The assembly diagram of such a box is somewhat similar to the previous one (except that there are no protruding hearts, and the lid is not molded into the body of the box, but is made separately.

But here there is a heart-shaped hole cut in each side wall

. This hole is then covered with transparent plastic. Plastic can be obtained if you buy transparent thick paper folders from an office supply store, cut them into the same squares and stick them inside the box - to its walls - into pieces with double-sided tape.

Below we see a diagram of the box (without a lid yet).

To this diagram I added an extension of the walls (purple zones), this is the part of the wall that will bend inside the box and stick to the inner edge with double-sided tape. This is necessary so that the box has a neat edge (in the form of a smooth fold, not a sharp cut).

This box has a LID - below I have drawn a diagram of how to assemble a square lid. In the center is the square BOTTOM of the lid. And on the sides there are SIDE covers.

The size of the bottom of the lid should match the bottom of the box (that is, we use the same square template as when drawing the box diagram).

And the size of the sides (that is, their height) can be ANY. It will be as you draw it. Main. remember. that we plan to cut out heart-shaped holes in the sides of the box itself, so it is important to make the sides of the lid so high that they do not obscure our heart.

DIY box

with 4 hearts.

Below is a very simple cubic valentine box. Here, too, the entire drawing consists of three rotating figures - a square, a trapezoid, a heart.

Take cardboard and cut out a square (the size you need). Then we cut out a trapezoid so that its lower edge is equal to the side of the square (the same amount of cm). And then we cut out a heart from paper of such a size that it can be placed next to the trapezoid and it does not extend too far beyond its edge (as in the drawing).

Next, from these three elements we will create a DRAWING. We take a sheet of paper and first place a square template on it, and trace it with a pencil. They laid it out 4 times in height and traced it with a pencil, and 1 time they laid it out to the side and traced it.

Then we take the heart template and glue its edge to the edge of the trapezoid template

– and we place such a welded cardio-trapezoidal template along each square in a line – and trace it with a pencil. All that remains is to draw stripes around the bottom square for gluing (along the three walls). Our drawing is all ready.

And if you are in a hurry and you really don’t have time to trace the templates, and you have a printer... then here is a template for quick printing in a large size.

And if you want to assemble the same crust WITHOUT GLUE, so that the parts of the bottom simply CAUGHT to each other (like in New Year's gift boxes with candies). Then you can modify the scheme - like in the photo below. Next to each wall square, draw a HOOK at the bottom, this will be the assembly of the bottom of the box.

Valentine's Day Box

WITH CUTTING HEARTS.

Here's another cube box for a Valentine's Day gift below. Here the box lid consists of two flaps, each of which ends with half a heart. And thanks to the cut, the heart halves are inserted into each other.

Below we see a diagram of the layout of such a box. The line of squares in the middle are the walls of the future box. The line of shoots at the bottom are the parts of the bottom of the box (which are glued together with a glue stick).

The top line is the flaps of the box lid. The two side ones are slammed onto each other, and the two with hearts are slammed over them.

Here is the same template in a larger size, for those who want to print the entire layout on a sheet at once. Copy the diagram onto a sheet of Word, enlarge the picture as much as possible (removing the extra width of the margins in the Vodrov document). And start printing by immediately inserting red printing paper into the printer.

And if you want to assemble the same box WITHOUT GLUEING the bottom,

then the configuration of the bottom part of the box with a heart will consist of elements with shaped hooks, as in the diagram of the box below. You can draw such leg shoots yourself by eye. There is nothing complicated here; the silhouettes of the bottom parts are easy to draw - a stool, a crooked leg to the left, a bowl, a crooked leg to the right.

Flat box with heart

For candies or cookies.

Here are ideas for low boxes. I really like this version of a flat box, also with half-heart doors. The box diagram is easy to draw yourself. Just draw a square first. Then draw rectangles of the same width on the sides of the square. Connect the upper corners of adjacent rectangles with lines (we get diagonal bevels as in the drawing.

Then we add one more rectangle of the same size to the left and right. And along the edges we draw identical halves of the heart (you can cut out a heart template and attach it to the left and right and circle it with a pencil).

You can assemble a flat box using the same drawing that we used to assemble the lid for the box cube with heart-shaped holes.

Here are two assembly diagrams for this Valentine's box below. The first diagram assembles the inside of the box. And the second diagram assembles the outer part into which the inner box will fit.

Convolution boxes

With hearts and a lock.

Below we see a drawing of a box with a square bottom, in which the opposite side walls simply rise up and wrap around each other. To prevent them from falling apart again, we secure everything with a lock.

The lock is created by a slot-slit at 2 opposite walls and round eyelets at 2 other opposite walls (see diagram below). First, fold the sides with the ears over each other, bending the ears upward. Then we wrap the walls with the slot, putting the slot on the ears sticking up.

You can modify this box and add an element of hearts. To do this, we lengthen the gap in some walls. And in others we draw processes in the form of TWO fused hearts. We get a box with heart ears as in the photo below.

These are the ideas for boxes with hearts you sewed on our website Family Kuchka. Now you can choose any shape of heart packaging for your Valentine's Day gift. Cute Valentine boxes for every taste. Please your loved ones with a beautiful paper box with a heart. Let them be surprised that for their sake you made such beauty with your own hands.

Good luck with your affairs of the heart.

Olga Klishevskaya, especially for the site

If you have a ready-made template, then making a heart is not difficult. And if not? Then do it yourself! True, you need to carefully measure each edge, otherwise the craft will not come together when gluing. Therefore, if you have perseverance and patience, then this heart model is for you. To make this, prepare a sheet of red paper. It is better to take paper that is thick, but not thick. Then you won’t experience any difficulties when gluing the craft, and the finished heart will hold its shape well. You will also need a ruler, a simple pencil, scissors, glue and a sheet of white paper.

Sequence of work The heart is a three-dimensional figure consisting of a broken line, which forms 8 short edges 1.5 cm long and two long side edges 6 cm long. The thickness of the heart is 2 cm. When finished, the height of the heart is 7 cm, and its width 7.5 cm. Cut out a heart from white paper. To do this, fold the sheet in half.

Set aside a 6 cm piece along the fold upward. This is the distance from the tip of the heart to the notch in its upper part. From the top mark, draw a horizontal auxiliary line to the right. And from the same mark, draw the beam upward at an angle of 45°. On this beam, measure a 1.5 cm segment. This will be the edge of the recess. From the end of this segment, draw a horizontal line 1.5 cm long to the right. This is one of the tops of the heart.

From the end of the second line, draw a 1.5 cm long line down at an angle of 45°. To do this, place the ruler on the sheet so that the measured segment connects with the auxiliary horizontal line.

From the end of this segment, draw a 1.5 cm long line down. This is the side of the heart.

Now connect the end of the segment to the bottom mark on the fold.

Cut out the heart template.

Expand. Take control measurements: all short edges should be 1.5 cm long.

Take a sheet of red paper and place it vertically. Turn the sheet over to the wrong side. Draw two vertical parallel lines in the middle of the sheet, the distance between which should be 2 cm. This is the thickness of the heart.

Draw a horizontal line below to define the bottom edge of the template.

Measure up 6 cm - a distance equal to the length of the side inclined edge of the heart. Draw a horizontal line.

Then measure 8 more segments (number of edges) on vertical lines, 1.5 cm each. Connect them.

Attach the heart template with its side edge to the first short sector.

Trace carefully with a pencil.

Do the same on the other side of the vertical lines.

Now you need to draw on the model the details with which you will glue the upper and lower parts of the heart together. To do this, draw two lines on both sides of the vertical lines at a distance of 0.5 cm from them.

From each small sector, draw lines at a slight angle to each other.

Connect them together as shown in the photo.

Then measure up a distance of 6 cm and connect both sides with a horizontal line. On the sides of this rectangle, draw parts for gluing the model.

Pay attention to the photo. At the top and bottom of the template, also draw fasteners.

Cut out the workpiece. When cutting out the heart, also cut the places where it connects with the fastener.

You will get a template like this.

Bend the side fasteners upward at an angle of 90°.

Fold all parts of the template along the drawn lines.

Tips for beginners

Remember the most important rule - you only need to start working on creating an original and beautiful gift wrapping with your own hands in a good mood, because it is a piece of it that you put into every detail. Making a box is not difficult; all you need is a template, available tools and some free time.

So, funny boxes in the form of toys, animals, brightly decorated will suit kids. For women and girls, you can choose all kinds of ribbons, rhinestones, and stones as decorations. For men, it is better to wrap a gift in a more discreet, laconic style using appropriate shades. For a colleague or boss, the so-called. corporate style, when creating the box, a work theme is used. For a birthday, packaging in the shape of a cake would be perfect.

How to make a heart box with your own hands: detailed description

We invite you to learn how to make a beautiful heart-shaped gift box with sweets or other filling. Such a delicate and unusual box will be a wonderful addition to the main gift or become a present itself for your loved one, for example, on Valentine's Day.

We offer you a simple and accessible master class on how to make a heart-shaped gift box quickly and easily with your own hands for a surprise.

Before starting all manufacturing work, prepare all the necessary materials and tools. You will need the following:

  • sheets of white thick cardboard;
  • sheets of thin white cardboard;
  • paper strip with ornament;
  • bright cotton fabric with a small pattern (floral, polka dot or geometric pattern);
  • sharp scissors;
  • a simple pencil;
  • universal high-quality glue;
  • special glue for gluing fabric;
  • good brush.

Using the template, draw two heart-shaped pieces on sheets of thicker cardboard and cut them out with scissors. In this case, one part should be one or two millimeters larger around the entire perimeter. This formed the bottom and lid of the future cardboard box. Next, using a simple pencil, outline the side of the heart, add two and a half centimeters, and another two centimeters on each side for the hem. You will only need four of these parts to make the side parts of the origami box and the lid. Make small slits in the hem to make it much easier to give the desired shape to your finished product.

Then carefully and carefully glue the side folds to the cardboard lid of the box. Now glue the second side part. Glue the main part of your heart-shaped gift box in a similar way.

Now use glue to glue the strip with the ornament to the side of the base of the box. Using a simple pencil, transfer the heart template onto your fabric. You will need two fabric pieces. The part intended for gluing the cardboard lid should be one or two millimeters larger around the entire perimeter of the template. Overlock the cut out heart-shaped parts on a special sewing machine. Glue one cut piece from the canvas onto the top of the box lid. Fix the second piece of fabric inside at the bottom of the box. Fold and glue the hem inside the side part. This is required in order to give the finished product completeness and strengthen all the side parts. The finished product can be used as a box for storing handicrafts, jewelry or sweets. You can decorate the box lid in a variety of ways, then the heart-shaped box will look completely different. For decoration you can use rhinestones, satin bows and ribbons, sequins, appliques, quilling and so on. As you can see, making beautiful packaging for your gifts with your own hands is not at all difficult. You just need to put in a little effort and creative imagination. Creative success to you!

Cardboard heart box

Materials used:

Manufacturing:

We transfer this diagram for making a heart box onto a sheet of cardboard - you can print it or draw it.

We cut out the resulting cardboard blank along the contour using scissors or a stationery knife, and then bend the side fragments.

Next, we begin assembling the box. To do this, grease the edges of the heart with glue and press the corresponding parts tightly against them.

Let the glue dry and the heart-shaped box is ready. The size of the box may vary depending on your wishes and the parameters of the gift.

This homemade case is ideal for sweets and small gifts.

Stage 1: make a cardboard box

First we draw a development. We take a sheet of thick cardboard and begin to draw a diagram for cutting out an even and beautiful heart, the shape of which forms the basis of our box.

Carefully cut out the heart from cardboard.

We draw out the sidewalls separately. The depth of our box is 3.5 cm. We leave another one and a half centimeters for the “teeth”, which we will glue to the base of the box. We make the length with a reserve, it is easier to cut off the excess after gluing.

We make a crease at the bend: using a ruler, carefully press the groove with a non-sharp object. We used the back of a utility knife, but a non-writing pen or the blunt side of a pair of scissors will work just fine.

We bend a strip of cardboard along the intended creasing.

Cut out the cloves. This is a rather boring and monotonous task, but it is the picket fence of narrow teeth that will help us achieve even and smooth curves of the wall of the box in the shape of a heart.

Glue the side part to the base of the box and cut off the excess, leaving a small tail for later gluing with the second part of the wall.

Our wall consists of two halves. Therefore, we especially carefully coat the joints with glue.

In the same way, we create a lid for the box, slightly increasing the dimensions so that it can close freely.

The height of the wall for the lid is 2 cm.

After both the box and the lid are made, you can begin the most delicious part - the decorating process!

Open heart box

Materials used:

Manufacturing:

We transfer this diagram onto cardboard or thick paper and cut it out along the contour.

We tint the outline of the hearts with a marker or felt-tip pen in a color close to the shade of the paper used.

Fold and glue the box along the dotted lines. When the heart-envelope is dry, write a beautiful congratulation on the front side with a marker and fill it with sweets or small souvenirs.

Miniature box with a heart

Materials used:

Manufacturing:

We transfer the diagram for making the box onto colored paper or cardboard, and then cut it out along the intended contour.

We bend the resulting workpiece in the places marked with a dotted line. In other places we cut as shown in the photo.

We assemble the box by closing the top flaps. A miniature heart will act as a lock on the box.

Heart pocket

Another heart box in the form of an open pocket is recommended as an original packaging for sweets, shaped cookies or nuts.

When working, it is enough to have on hand:

  • cardboard of any color;
  • pencil;
  • glue.

A diagram of the product is drawn on paper in the form of two identical hearts connected to each other by a wide jumper. Along the outer edges of the hearts, you need to set aside a distance equal to the width of the jumper.

The workpiece is cut out. Folds should be made along the lines that follow the shape of the heart. At this stage you need to design the main walls of the box. They are the hearts themselves.

If bright colored paper is chosen for production, then elaborate decoration is not required. It is enough to write a few lines of pleasant content. After this, the extreme folds of the box are connected and glued together.

  • thick corrugated and thin colored cardboard;
  • glue (PVA or gun);

In the form of an animal for a child's birthday

Such gifts are suitable for children; they will be truly delighted when they receive an animal box, and even with a pleasant surprise inside. The main thing is that the product turns out colorful. The workpiece is simply cut out according to the pattern, slots are made, and bent, securing with ears. Next, all that remains is to glue the eyes, tail and paws.

Sweet heart

The most common material in making boxes is cardboard. This is what will be used in our work. A small box for sweet surprises is offered for study.

Before you begin the creative process, you should prepare:

  • white cardboard;
  • white paper;
  • paper with ornaments;
  • colored cotton fabric with small patterns;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue, brush;
  • pencil;
  • fabric glue.

Two heart-shaped details of a given size are drawn on thick cardboard. In this case, one element should be 1-2 mm larger in area than the other. Templates are cut out. They need to be used to make similar parts from white cardboard.

Using the pattern, you need to circle the side of the heart. Having departed from the drawn line, the distance specified as the height of the box should be duplicated. Then 2 cm is added to the two parallel lines on each side.

You need to make four of these parts. The blanks are cut out and folded along the lines. Using scissors, a semblance of a “fence” is formed from the side parts. To each base heart, jagged blanks are glued to the outside, forming walls.

Paper with an ornament is glued to the walls of the box.

The heart-shaped lid template is placed on the fabric and outlined; a similar heart is drawn separately, but 1-2 mm smaller than the previous one.

The pattern is cut out. To prevent the fabric from fraying, its edges should be treated with an overlock or a special machine stitch. Fabric blanks are fixed on the outside and inside of the lid with the front side up. The work uses fabric glue.

The remaining teeth along the edge of the lid are glued to the inner parts of the walls.

This box of chocolates will be an excellent gift for a loved one.

Advice! If you need a large box for a gift, you can use similar instructions, replacing the cardboard with a thicker one and changing the size of the templates. In this case, the box lid will require additional decor in the form of satin ribbons or lace.

Sharp lines

Even a heart-shaped box can be given geometry using a special template.

In this version, the box can become either an independent gift or a miniature package for a surprise. A heart is made from paper of the desired color. It is enough to make folds along horizontal lines and fold the form.

Additional elements along the edges of the template are intended for gluing the box. Therefore, they are bent on the inside and glued to one of the bases.

The second base remains open. If you mean investing in a box, then the remaining small elements are simply tucked inside and glued to the wall of the box.
