Russian oven made of paper. Master Class.
The Russian stove is an integral attribute of many famous fairy tales.
It would take a long time to list all the works, for example, this legend about Emelya “At the Pike’s Command,” the story about Clever Girl and Lenivitsa, and Baba Yaga could not do without a stove. A homemade stove will be an excellent backdrop for a home performance. It’s easy to make with your children, using scrap materials that are on hand in every home. 1. Take a long toothpaste box, a sheet of white office paper, glue in a pencil and scissors for work. Small scraps of brown and black paper and a black gel pen will also come in handy.
2. Cut the box approximately in half with scissors.
3. Connect the two resulting parts, placing them at right angles to each other. Wait until the glue dries.
4. Completely cover the resulting box blank with white paper. You can first draw a template with a pen, then cut it along the lines.
5. Place the chimney on the higher part. To make it, either a small box in the shape of a parallelepiped or pieces of cardboard that can be easily glued together are suitable.
6. To create a firebox, cut out a small rectangle from white paper, which can later be used as a template. Also cut out a black semicircle and a brown stripe.
7. Gluing all the parts one by one, create an image of a firebox with a brick edging.
8. Attach the paper imitation to the craft.
9. Cover the chimney with brown paper.
10. Draw the brickwork on the chimney with a gel pen, and insert a piece of cotton wool into the chimney itself and fluff it to create the illusion of smoke.
11. If desired, add a red flame to the black background of the firebox for a more realistic picture. Place Sloth or another fairy-tale character on the stove.

Making an auxiliary device
This wooden block is not part of the stove, but serves to make it. With its help, it will be more convenient for you to drill holes and perform other operations. Insert the block into the jar and draw two lines with a marker approximately at the level of the lid.
The distance between the lines should be approximately 7–8 millimeters.
Carefully cut out a rectangular notch. The top edge of the can should fit freely into this recess.
Let's position the wooden block in such a way that it provides reliable support for the can. The upper edge should fit comfortably into the notch we made.
Table and stool made of matchboxes. DIY furniture for the Russian Izba mini museum.
To make table legs we need four empty matchboxes. Pull out the boxes a little, coat two of them with glue. Places of lubrication with glue are shown by shading.
Let's connect both legs-corners. To do this, slightly crush one of the matchboxes.
The legs for our table are ready.
Let's paint the table legs and glue on the tabletop. We cut out the tabletop from cardboard. Size 13x7 cm
The table is almost ready, all that remains is to paint the tabletop. Now let's start making the stool. The technology is very similar to the table, but the stool should be lower. Therefore, we cut the matchboxes into two parts.
This is what the base for a matchbox stool looks like.
We glue the seat, paint it, and the stool is ready.
In this way you can make a Russian hut and benches for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life. You can try this yourself. And now we will tell you how to make wooden benches with your own hands.

What materials are needed
The best material is cardboard boxes. The easiest way to make a fireplace out of cardboard is if you have a box for a large monitor or TV. All you need to do is cut out the portal and glue the side walls.
Can be made from a large cardboard box or a number of small ones
It will be a little more work if you only have small boxes like shoe boxes. But from them you can assemble a more interesting model in shape.
You will also need:
- scissors;
- stationery knife;
- PVA glue;
- paper (masking) tape.
That's practically all you need to make a false fireplace out of cardboard.
These are all the materials and tools that will be required. Of the entire list, questions may arise only regarding adhesive tape. Why paper? It is good in any finish. Including when painting. So the option is universal. If you are not going to paint the fireplace, you can use regular adhesive tape.
You will also need finishing material, but we’ll talk about this later, since a lot depends on the finishing method.
Crafts from matches. By magic. Master Class
To make crafts from matches you will need:
If you are gluing a symmetrical panel of matches of different lengths, as in our case, start from the middle. First, glue long matches onto the paper strip, and then stick regular ones, placing them alternately to the right and left of the middle ones.
1. Cut printer paper into strips for gluing panels with a straight edge. Cut two strips for gluing panels with a comb edge.
3. Glue three panels with a straight edge: two of 30 matches each and one of 19 matches. These are the walls of the stove.
4. Glue the fourth wall using long and regular matches, placing the long matches in the middle of the panel. The top of the long matches will serve as the base of the pipe.
5. Glue another panel with a straight edge from 25 matches and three panels with a straight edge from four matches each.
6. Place the panels under the press.
7. Using matches with colored stove heads, glue the panel to the edge with a comb. Glue the same panel together using bucket matches. Place the panels under the press.
8. Glue an array of two layers with two matches in each. Place the array under the press. It is more convenient to fix such a small array with paper clips or clothespins.
9. Take a panel of matchsticks with colored stove heads and cut it in half vertically. Place the panels under a press to dry completely.
10. Also cut the panel for the bucket vertically on one side, departing approximately 10 mm from the heads.
11. From a panel with a smooth edge of 25 matches, cut a strip vertically slightly wider than the width of 6 matches.
12. Take a paper strip slightly shorter than the width of the resulting panel and 10-12 mm wide. Bend the panel with the top side out and glue the cylinder for the bucket.
13. Place the cylinder onto the drying bucket mold.
14. Cut the array into four equal parts. Dry the pieces of wood under pressure.
15. Take the bar from the blinds and cut two identical pieces from it 25-30 mm longer than the long wall of the stove.
16. On one side, cut the pieces into a triangle and bend these ends up.
Attaching the pipe and top panel
Match stove . _ Assembly and design.
1. Glue panels of 4 matches end-to-end (method 2) to the base of the pipe. Glue one match with the heads stripped into the gaps formed.
2. Glue the walls of the stove using the same method.
4. Place panels of matches with colored heads with the bottom side facing you so that the heads face in different directions. Place a strip of 25 matches in the middle, also with the bottom side facing you. Glue the top of the stove end to end (method 1).
5. Glue the top of the stove to the walls.
6. Under the top along the edge of the walls, perform the binding as at the bottom of the walls.
7. Attach pieces of solid wood to the bottom of the walls, and glue runners from the slats from the blinds to them.
8. Cut out several strips of corrugated cardboard, making teeth on them on one side. Glue strips to decorate the top of the stove. Also cut and glue bricks on the walls of the stove and two strips for the vent. Make cuts on one strip and bend it into an arch shape.
9. Glue the bricks and the stove mouth to the walls.
10. Make smoke out of paper and glue it to the inside of the pipe.
When bending the panel and placing the cylinder on the mold, gently press down the surface, giving the cylinder the correct shape.
If the smoke paper is too thin, coat the smoke piece with glue, shape it, and let the glue dry.
A bucket of matches . Assembly and design.
1. Remove the cylinder from the mold and place it on a sheet of paper.
2. Trace the outline of the base of the cylinder from the inside.
3. From the remnants of a panel of 25 matches, cut a circle for the bottom of the bucket.
4. Glue the bottom to the inner surface at the bottom of the cylinder.
5. Cut out the pike and crown from paper in matching colors using the included pattern.
6. Glue the pike together and place it in the bucket.
7. Bend the handle of the bucket from the wire and glue it in place using a heat gun.
8. Cut out strips of paper and glue them onto the surface of the bucket.
Crafts from matches “At the command of the pike” are ready.

Craft made from corrugated cardboard
Using the drawn pattern, you can make a beautiful and durable hut in a labor lesson. It can be assembled by drawing a whole layout, as in the previous sample, or you can draw each wall separately and cut out all four planes with scissors, giving the house an original fairy-tale shape with decreasing size downwards.
Everything comes together using PVA. To apply glue, you need to leave a thin additional strip on each side and bend it inward. All that remains is to cover the house with colored paper and attach decorative elements.

Good evening everyone! We announced a competition for the New Year - a craft project based on Russian fairy tales. And my daughter and I created this Emelya on the stove.
We started our work with the stove. They made it out of cardboard. First a large square, then a smaller one, and a pipe in the same way. Partitions were placed inside for strength. Then they covered it with napkins and painted it with white acrylic paint. We made a hole for the saucepan.
The main character is Emelya. First, a frame was twisted from wire. They wrapped it in napkins and pasted it over it. Then, for plumpness, they covered it with padding polyester. The head was rolled into a ball of paper and covered with napkins for evenness. We made clothes for him. Hat, mittens and felt boots made of felt. Hair made of thread. We drew a nose, eyes, a mouth and now our Emelya is sitting on the stove.

How to make emelya on the stove with your own hands
The stove is a necessary part of the mini museum of Russian culture.
What is a Russian hut without a stove? A home-made cardboard stove is suitable for creating an environment for a folk doll museum, and for introducing children to folk life. The oven turns out to be quite durable, since we reinforce most of the parts made of thin white cardboard on the reverse side with durable cardboard.
In addition to the stove itself, in our master class we will tell you how to make a stove grip and a bread shovel. These picturesque and colorful details will decorate your mini museum.
The stove will not only become an exhibit in your mini museum, but will also perfectly serve gaming purposes or become a decoration for many Russian folk tales. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is Emelya’s self-propelled stove from the fairy tale “At the Order of the Pike.”

At the behest of Emelya, a fairy tale with pictures
there was an old man. He had three sons: two smart, the third - the fool Emelya. Those brothers work, but Emelya lies on the stove all day, doesn’t want to know anything.
Once the brothers went to the market, and the women, daughters-in-law, let’s send him: - Go, Emelya, for water. And he told them from the stove: - Reluctance... - Go, Emelya, otherwise the brothers will return from the market and they won’t bring you gifts. - Well, okay. Emelya got off the stove, put on his shoes, got dressed, took buckets and an ax and went to the river. He cut through the ice, scooped up buckets and set them down, and he looked into the hole. And Emelya saw a pike in the ice hole.
He contrived and grabbed the pike in his hand: “This will be a sweet fish!” Suddenly the pike says to him in a human voice: “Emelya, let me go into the water, I will be of use to you.” And Emelya laughs: “What will you be of use to me for?” No, I’ll take you home and tell my daughters-in-law to cook your fish soup. The ear will be sweet. The pike begged again: - Emelya, Emelya, let me go into the water, I will do whatever you want. - Okay, just show me first that you are not deceiving me, then I will let you go. The pike asks him: - Emelya, Emelya , tell me - what do you want now? - I want the buckets to go home on their own and the water wouldn’t spill... The pike says to him: - Remember my words: when you want something, just say: By the pike’s command, By my desire. And Emelya says :- At the behest of the pike, At my will, go home yourself, buckets...
He just said - the buckets themselves and went up the hill. Emelya let the pike into the hole, and he went to get the buckets.
The buckets are walking through the village, the people are amazed, and Emelya follows behind, chuckling... The buckets went into the hut and stood on the bench, and Emelya climbed onto the stove. How much time has passed, you never know - the daughters-in-law say to him: - Emelya, why are you lying?
I should go and chop some wood. - Reluctant... - If you don’t chop wood, your brothers will come back from the market and they won’t bring you gifts. You don’t feel like getting off the stove. He remembered about the pike and slowly said: “According to the pike’s command, according to my desire, go, get an ax, chop some firewood, and for the firewood, go into the hut yourself and put it in the oven... The ax jumped out from under the bench - and into the yard, and give us the firewood.” chop, and the wood itself goes into the hut and climbs into the stove. How much or how much time has passed - the daughters-in-law again say: “Emelya, we have no more wood.” Go to the forest, chop it. And he said to them from the stove: - What are you doing? - What are we doing?.. Is it our business to go to the forest for firewood? - I don’t want to... - Well, there won’t be any gifts for you. There’s nothing to do. Emelya got down from the stove, put on his shoes, and got dressed. He took a rope and an ax, went out into the yard and sat in the sleigh: “Women, open the gates!” The daughters-in-law said to him: “Why, you fool, got into the sleigh and didn’t harness the horse?” Emelya says quietly: “At the behest of the pike, at my will, go, sleigh, into the forest...
The sleigh drove through the gates on its own, but so quickly that it was impossible to catch up with a horse. But we had to go to the forest through the city, and here it crushed and crushed a lot of people. The people shout “Hold him! Catch him! And he, you know, is driving the sleigh.
I arrived in the forest: - At the behest of the pike, At my request - an axe, chop some dry wood, and you, woodworkers, fall into the sleigh yourself, tie yourself down... The ax began to chop, chop dry trees, and the firewood themselves fell into the sleigh and tied up with a rope. Then Emelya ordered an ax to cut out a club for himself - one that could be lifted by force. He sat down on the cart: - At the behest of the pike, According to my desire, go, sleigh, home... The sleigh rushed home. Again Emelya drives through the city where he crushed and crushed a lot of people just now, and there they are already waiting for him. They grabbed Emelya and dragged him off the cart, scolding and beating him. He saw that things were bad, and little by little: “At the behest of the pike, At my will, come on, club, break off their sides... The club jumped out - and let’s hit.” The people rushed away, and Emelya came home and climbed onto the stove. Whether for a long time or for a short time, the king heard about Emelya’s tricks and sends an officer after him: to find him and bring him to the palace. The officer arrives in that village, enters the hut where Emelya is lives and asks: “Are you a fool, Emelya?” And he from the stove: “What do you need?” “Get dressed quickly, I’ll take you to the Tsar.” “But I don’t want to... The officer got angry and hit him on the cheek. And Emelya says quietly: - At the behest of the pike, At my will - a club, break off his sides... The club jumped out - and let’s beat the officer, he forcibly carried off his legs. The Tsar was surprised that his officer could not cope with Emelya, and sends his greatest nobleman: - Bring him to I want the fool Emelya to go to his palace, otherwise I’ll take his head off his shoulders. The great nobleman bought raisins, prunes, and gingerbread, came to that village, entered that hut and began asking his daughters-in-law what Emelya loved. “Our Emelya loves to be asked kindly.” Yes, if they promise you a red caftan, then he will do whatever you ask. The great nobleman gave Emelya raisins, prunes, gingerbread and said: “Emelya, Emelya, why are you lying on the stove?”
Let's go to the Tsar. - I'm warm here too... - Emelya, Emelya, the Tsar will give you good food and water - please, let's go. - But I don't want to... - Emelya, Emelya, the Tsar will give you a red caftan, a hat and boots. Fairy tales with pictures

Tools and materials.
We will make a stove for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life from cardboard. Moreover, we will need three types of cardboard. More details about this are written in the chapter on cutting. Thin white cardboard, if necessary, can be replaced with thick sheets of Whatman paper.
For work, we recommend using rubber or universal glue. A glue stick will not provide sufficient strength, and PVA may warp the cardboard.
The stove parts are painted with acrylic paints. But, if there are no acrylic ones, you can also use gouache. Only after drying should a layer of varnish be applied over the gouache (for example, the cheapest colorless nail polish). Or, at worst, cover it with a thin layer of PVA glue. Otherwise, the gouache will get dirty even after drying.
Parts made of thin cardboard can be cut out with scissors. Thick cardboard needs to be cut with a paper knife. Don't forget to put plywood underneath so as not to damage the table.
False fireplace made of cardboard: models
A false fireplace made of cardboard, like a real one, can be wall-mounted or corner-mounted. In both options, the portal can be straight or arched. Whatever you prefer. If we talk about the practical side of the matter, straight is easier to make and easier to finish. Even a beginner can handle it.
What a fireplace made of cardboard can be like
A wall-mounted fireplace is great if you have a decent amount of free space on the wall. It looks great in the wall between the windows. If the walls are all occupied, but there are corners, you can build a corner model.
We build stone wood-burning barbecues and barbecues for the garden
To build a foundation, it is recommended to first dig a small pit, each side of which should be approximately 20 cm wider than the side of the future barbecue. Sand and crushed stone should be poured into it, watered and compacted thoroughly. After this, it is necessary to install formwork from boards, and lay a reinforcing belt inside for greater strength and fill it with concrete. For reinforcement, you can use steel mesh or wire. It is recommended to add crushed stone or pieces of old brick to the concrete mixture. After pouring, it should take 5-7 days for it to set well. Roofing felt or some other waterproofing material should be laid on top.
Then you can proceed to the construction of the base. Laying should be done on a pre-marked surface using a building level. To achieve greater strength in the corners, it is recommended to reinforce with wire. The dimensions of the base depend on the planned width of the firebox and the presence of additional compartments for firewood. The brick should be soaked so that it does not absorb moisture from the mortar. The stone can be laid dry. The width and height of the plinth may vary, but 5-6 rows of bricks are quite sufficient.
To further equip the furnace from scrap materials, it is necessary to lay the interior of the structure. For this, it is recommended to use refractory bricks. If it is not available, then you can use ordinary red brick or natural stone, first thoroughly soaked in water.
When laying with any available materials, you should use clay that has been soaked for several days. It must be mixed with sand in a ratio of 1: 3. You can use another composition by mixing cement, sand and slaked lime (1: 1: 3) and adding water to bring the solution to a thick mass.
It is necessary to leave a gap at the bottom for the blower so that the air necessary to maintain the fire can freely flow into the firebox. Place a grill rack in the roasting pan. It should be installed on built-in iron corners or brick projections so that it is removable. You can also make racks for the spit from reinforcing steel.
After this, you can begin exterior finishing. The outside of a stone stove with a barbecue can be beautifully lined with natural stone, with which forged decorative elements will be beautifully combined.
It is recommended to lay the floor around the structure with paving slabs, and the cutting surfaces are best made of porcelain stoneware or marble slabs. Additionally, if desired, you can design an exhaust pipe.
The construction of a stone oven should be completed by installing a roof, which will allow the fireplace to be used in any weather.
Below are several photos of stone ovens, where finished objects are presented:
Finish options
An interesting option is to imitate brick or stone masonry. To do this, you can choose a self-adhesive film. Such materials are sold in construction supermarkets. You just need to calculate the size of the canvas and select the desired design in the store.
If the product is decorated with stucco, the fireplace will look more interesting. For these purposes, use the remains of ceiling tiles, foam baseboards, or purchase additional moldings.
If desired, the fireplace can be decorated with additional elements. For example, a New Year's fireplace can be complemented with LED lamps that imitate candles.
And finally, the most important thing that allows us to call a fireplace a home is fire. A few logs wrapped in LED strip will make the fireplace look almost real. And on New Year's Eve, the flickering light of the fireplace will give the room comfort and a festive mood.
So, a simple and accessible, financially easy option for building a home is outlined. We can say that this is a basic instruction on how to make a decorative fireplace. The basis is there, and everyone can decorate it with decorative elements according to their own taste.
Schemes-drawings of a stove for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba
We cut out the parts from three types of cardboard. The first four parts are made of thin white cardboard, which is included in the set of cardboard for children's creativity or is sold separately. In the diagram, fold lines are indicated in red. You need to draw something hard along these lines from the wrong side. For example, draw lines with a ballpoint pen with pressure (of course, along a ruler). Then the folds will be even and clear. The valves required to connect the parts are indicated in brown. And in green - lines for gluing parts made of thick cardboard that need to be marked.
Sheet 1 Details made of white cardboard. Schemes-drawings of the stove for the mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba.
When you draw out the details, please note that our stove can be with a left or right pipe. If you want to get a stove like in the picture in the post, then the drawing will be the front side for you, and if you want the pipe to be on the other side, then consider it the wrong side.
Sheet 2 Details made of white cardboard. Schemes-drawings of the stove for the mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba.
Pieces 5 to 8 need to be cut from very thick corrugated cardboard. After all, all these parts will be a kind of “shelves” on which we will lay and glue the parts. If you don’t have very thick cardboard at hand (about 0.5 cm thick), then you can glue two layers of thinner cardboard.
Sheet 3 Details of thick corrugated cardboard about 0.5 cm thick. Schemes and drawings of a stove for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba.
And the last parts 9 to 15 can be made from thinner corrugated cardboard or from rigid pressed cardboard (shoe box, back hard cover from a watercolor block of paper, etc.). Most of these parts are reinforcing. The thickness of corrugated cardboard is about 0.2 cm, and pressed cardboard can be thinner. The main thing is that it is tough.
Sheet 4 Cardboard parts about 0.2 cm thick. Schemes and drawings of a stove for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba.
Having cut out all the parts, we can begin assembly.
How to make a doll stove from a cardboard shoe box
First, you need to review your own supplies and select the appropriate materials to create a toy stove from a shoebox.
Here's what we found:
Tools and materials for making a toy stove from a shoebox:
- a sheet of white cardboard;
- PVA glue;
- wide bristle brush;
- scissors;
- food-grade aluminum foil (sounds nice, but it's actually just a chocolate wrapper);
- napkin;
- a teaspoon (what if it’s useful for something?!);
- glue “Moment Crystal”;
- masking tape;
- ruler;
- a simple pencil;
- black acrylic paint;
- a piece of foam rubber;
- acrylic lacquer;
- foam roller,
- 2 medium size buttons,
- needle;
- silver lurex thread;
- sheet of metallized cardboard with embossing;
- wrapping.
I think this is quite enough to make a stove-box for toy dishes.
A few small tips:
I warn you: you will need quite a lot of PVA glue. So stock up on it before you start work. It's better to buy a large can of PVA at a hardware store. This glue is much better in quality than stationery glue made from small tubes, and you can use it to make various crafts.
When you start gluing the parts, keep clean, dry and damp cloths on hand. Dry you can remove excess glue and press the parts, and wet you can wipe your hands stained with glue.
Use Moment Crystal glue only in well-ventilated areas and work with it in the absence of children!
Before starting work, I thoroughly wipe the shoebox inside and out with a damp bactericidal wipe - it is unlikely that it will be possible to thoroughly disinfect it in this way, but it is necessary to clean the surface.
Now is the time to think about what decorative elements will help make the shoebox look like a stove. The first thing that comes to mind is the burners. I'll make the burners out of cardboard covered with foil. It seems to me that this way they will resemble the real ones.
I cut out two burner blanks from cardboard:
I won’t lie, the process of depicting the burners took me longer than I expected. Therefore, for those who do not want to bother with the sketch, I am enclosing my pattern of a burner for a toy stove.
Assembling a stove for the Russian Izba mini museum.
When all the parts are cut out, you can begin assembling the stove.
The basis of the stove for the mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba.
We take parts 1 and 2 from white cardboard and parts 5 and 6 from thick cardboard. Glue parts 5 and 6 to the wrong side of parts 1 and 2 in pre-marked places.
Cut out a rectangle for baking on part 6.
We glue part 1 and part 2 of our stove.
We paint part 7 with white paint and glue it to the front side of part 1.
Glue on reinforcing part 11. Paint the inside of the stove with black paint, as shown in the picture. We also paint parts 9 and 10. Part 9 is on one side, and 10 is on both sides.
We glue parts 9 and 10, overlaying them like shelves on parts 5 and 6.
We glue reinforcing part 12 between the first and second part.
We fold part 4 of thin cardboard into a ladder and glue it onto the valves of parts 1 and 2, forming a pipe.
Glue together part 1 and part 3.
We glue reinforcing parts 13 and 14 onto parts 1 and 3.
We glue the pipe of part 3 onto part 12. We form the shape of the stove bench.
We glue the bed - part 15 onto the valves of parts 1 and 3.
We paint the bed with white paint.
If desired, you can decorate the mouth of the furnace with voluminous “bricks”. To do this, cut out bricks from cardboard pre-painted white and glue them at the mouth of the stove.
The stove for the Russian Izba mini museum is almost ready. You can stop at this stage.
But you can make a hedgehog and a stove bench.
Clay figurines
Making these figures is not so easy. But for those who know how to make all kinds of souvenirs from clay, this activity will only bring pleasure.
Especially now, you can buy polymer clay in specialized stores, which is influenced much faster. And the finished product dries in just a couple of hours.
You can make animals and dolls from it, dressed in national clothes. You can color them at your own discretion.
Sometimes clay is replaced with salted dough. This material allows you to make different figures and you are not afraid that the child will get dirty.
Stove accessories for the Russian Izba mini museum
It’s easy to make your own stove accessories for the mini museum of folk dolls and folk life, Russian Izba. Let's make a stove shovel and grip.
Let's take wooden skewers. They can be found in any supermarket. We file it with a knife and break it to the desired length. For the size of our stove, this is 10-11 cm. We split the ends of the skewers with a knife and glue a grip and a shovel cut out of cardboard into the split.
Let's paint the grip and the bread shovel. And the stove accessories are ready.
The stove for the mini museum of folk dolls and folk life Russian Izba can be supplemented with rugs or a patchwork blanket. Dishes – jars and pots – would also be appropriate here. We will put firewood in the oven.
The stove can be used independently or placed in the composition of the Russian Izba mini museum.
“At the behest of the pike, and at my request, bake, go straight to the king’s palace!” - Emelya ordered the stove. This is such a fabulous stove made from matches. To make the pike comfortable, make a bucket for it.
2. Sort 150 matches - 144 regular and 6 long - and strip their heads.
Match stove. Assembly and design.
1. Glue panels of 4 matches end-to-end (method 2) to the base of the pipe. Glue one match with the heads stripped into the gaps formed.
2. Glue the walls of the stove using the same method.
3. Trim along the upper and lower edges of the walls, using long matches for long ones, and regular matches for short ones.
Crown and pike pattern
If the smoke paper is too thin, coat the smoke piece with glue, shape it, and let the glue dry.
A bucket of matches.

Do-it-yourself model of a Russian hut
To do such a thing, take:
- cardboard box;
- self-adhesive film;
- PVA glue;
- bandage;
- brush;
- ceiling tiles;
- wallpaper.
Take a box and cover the bottom part with self-adhesive wood-like film to create a floor like this. Wallpaper should be glued to the walls inside.
To make a model of the Russian hut further, parents or children will draw on the back side with their own hands where the windows will be located.
But the parents will cut it out with a breadboard knife. You can make 3 windows, one on each wall. Glue ceiling tiles on top to make this part of the house beautiful. For such work, you need to take a special glue that will fix this material well.
To strengthen the walls from the outside, first glue them with a bandage soaked in PVA glue. When dry, paint with white water-based paint.
Draw the shutters first with a pencil and then paint them.
Also make a crib out of ceiling tiles. To make its elements as strong as the house, cover it with a bandage.
Very soon we will have a model of a Russian hut. First, paint the bed brown. Then cut out the parts of the stove and glue them together. Don't forget to make a compartment for cooking and storing firewood.
Also cover the outside of the stove with a bandage and then paint it with white paint. In the corners this whitewash seemed to have fallen off a little. Show this by painting here in brown. When the paint is dry, paint around the firebox with black. Take tree branches that need to be cut into 4 parts. The grip is made from a wooden skewer, and its upper part is made from wire, which can be covered with fabric and glued here. The rug can be crocheted in the round. Make a bench on which you place a ribbon with a folk pattern. Make a cradle.
Place a figurine of the hostess inside and hang tulle curtains on the windows. Sew small pillows for the crib. Place the cat on a toy stool. You can also sew it yourself.
Glue a small icon on a paper base into the corner, make a cradle, attach it to the top and place it inside the toy baby.
You can add some of your own items to the hut layout.
Here's another model of a Russian hut you can make.
- For the base, a box has already been taken, but with lower sides than in the previous master class. Make a stove out of cardboard. To do this, you need to make 3 parts from this material and glue them together. The smallest one will be at the top. This is a pipe.
- It’s better to immediately take white cardboard so that you don’t have to cover the base with paper of that color or paint it.
- Then you will need to draw the firebox and the fire in it. Place several sawn branches nearby, as if they were firewood. Place a blanket made using the patchwork technique on the stove.
- For it you will need some leftover material that needs to be sewn together. They are then sewn to a fabric base of the same size. Make a table and a bench from cardboard, which needs to be covered with adhesive film. The bed is made in the same way. You need to sew a set of bed linen and pillows from fabric. Place a knitted rug on the floor. Place a table with kitchen utensils nearby.
- Attach a curtain to the windows. As you can see, the cradle is suspended using a wire hook. Make it from ice cream sticks, attach fabric and threads here, by which the cradle will be suspended.
Children love to look at such objects. They will definitely ask questions about what and how of these items were used in the old days. You will tell them and thereby broaden the children’s horizons.
The third master class with step-by-step photos will also demonstrate how to make a model of a hut. To make it, take:
- box or plywood for the base;
- stain;
- sharp knife;
- scissors;
- brush;
- salty dough;
- glue gun;
- gouache;
- newspapers;
- wooden skewers;
- pencil;
- wire;
- textile;
- lace;
- plasticine;
- PVA glue;
- thread with a needle.
Before making a model of the hut, prepare the base for the floor with your own hands. To do this, glue a sheet of cardboard here, painted with stain. Then it will seem like a plank floor. Using the same technology you will make a table and a bed. Use glue to connect the parts of the cardboard bed, after covering them with stain. Do the same with the table. Cover it with a cloth; you can first sew lace to the tablecloth. A bed cover is also made. Make pillows for her.
Roll up these blanks from strips of cardboard that will look like logs. They will need to be glued together using a hot gun. Where there will be a window, use shorter parts. Glue it here, having previously cut it out of cardboard and decorated it with gouache. Make beautiful curtains from lace.
Glue the icon into the corner, also decorating it with lace and beautiful fabric. Place a rug on the floor.
Such a mat can be made from coarse fabric or knitted with your own hands. Attach a fringe of thread along the edges.
To make a tub, twist strips of newspaper sheets onto a wooden skewer. Paint them and glue them together. Wrap a piece of wire in paper of the same color and use it to make a handle for this bucket.
The stove is made in a very interesting way. But you will see the tricks of its creation in the next master class.

Design of long-burning furnaces
Long-burning stoves have design features. They consist of two chambers or combustion zones, in one of which pyrolysis of wood occurs, and in the other, afterburning of wood gases occurs. The location of the cameras relative to each other may be different.
In some models, fuel is loaded from above; as a result of primary smoldering, the firewood compacts and settles, and gases enter the afterburning chamber, which can be located either below or through a partition on the side of the first chamber. Such stoves are often equipped with blower fans to direct the draft into the desired channel.
