The benefits of origami

Anyone who has experienced the fantastic world of origami at least once will never want to leave it. In the photo of paper origami you can see amazing masterpieces that you can create with your own hands.

Origami not only develops imagination, but also makes you think logically, be attentive and focused. This activity is perfect for restless children; it will help direct energy in the right direction.

In ancient Japan, only educated people practiced origami; mastery of this art was considered a sign of intelligence. With origami, children learn to recognize geometric shapes faster than with any other activity.

Before you start practicing origami, you need to prepare all the necessary materials. First of all, this is good thick paper, the quality of which determines the quality of the figures themselves.

For all beginners, it is recommended to use patterns according to which you need to bend the paper without making mistakes. In some cases, scissors and glue are used, but this is a slightly different type of origami.

Preparing a house drawing

The three-dimensional model can be cut out of cardboard, or folded from paper boxes. In any case, you will need a correctly drawn up drawing. The diagram must display the following indicators:

  1. Dimensions of the house, all details.
  2. Dimensions and location of window and door openings.
  3. Fasteners.

For three-dimensional crafts, you need to prepare templates (walls, parts for the roof). Paper applications of houses require a different approach: the main details are drawn on a prepared sheet (whatman paper). They can be presented separately or as a continuous chain, which must later be glued together.

“Technology” 2nd grade or how my grandson and I did our homework...

This week my grandson called me, he is 8 years old and is in second grade. And with tears, they say, because of his work, he needs to embroider a bag. I didn’t understand anything, but asked to bring the textbook for the weekend. Almost all Saturday, Ilya sewed with his tongue hanging out. No, not like that... SHIL!!! We can say that this was his first experience with a needle (not counting the fact that we once learned to sew buttons with him).

Here's a tutorial. If my grandson hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have guessed from the title that it was a textbook on labor. Although everything is detailed inside... Well, that's for me. But what about an 8-year-old boy?

Shown how to make a pattern for a “bag for all sorts of things”

And, accordingly, it is described how to sew and decorate such a bag with embroidery. I think that my grandson is right in asking for my help. He himself (given his experience with a needle) could not have done this task. “...Sew the painting with a seam...” I had to study for myself what this “painting” seam is

The grandson made the pattern himself. And the drawing - I already showed him how buttons with flowers can be placed...

This is the bag we got. The embroidery is very small; buttons with beads are sewn on it.

Back side of the bag.

These are such crooked stitches flavored with tears, snot, drool...

This is an external seam, although it is small, it took a lot of time - how will it be visible... Well, I had to thread the ribbon onto the tie myself.

While Ilya was struggling with a needle and thread, I sewed him this pincushion hat from a baby food cap and decorated it to match the bag.

What pride was written on the grandson’s face when the bag was ready. - Now they’ll give me a 5 plus! - my modest little one declared categorically, putting the needle case into a bag.

Recreation and entertainment park | Country of Masters

This is the layout of the park that my son and I presented for the competition “My City Through the Eyes of a Child.” Since we have practically no recreational facilities, it was decided to build a park with attractions and benches. A fountain was placed in the center and alleys lead from it. Today we summed up the results, and we took 1st place among the junior classes.

Here's a closer look at the fountain. They even tried to depict water. There is a rose garden around the fountain.

This is a Ferris wheel, it rotates and there are seats (not visible here)

This is a gazebo, benches, and a flower bed.

There is something like a chain carousel here, it also rotates, and a second flower bed with quilling flowers

Preparation of component parts

Using prepared templates, blanks are cut out of cardboard, trying to use only sharp scissors or a stationery knife. For appliqués, a house (unfolded) is cut out of paper.

Windows and doors and details of the future home are drawn on simple paper parts. Cardboard blanks require a more detailed approach:

  1. Based on the prepared drawing, future windows and doorways are marked.
  2. Windows are carefully cut on the cut out parts, guiding the blade strictly along the contour of the sketch.

Sharp and torn edges of cardboard should be carefully trimmed with scissors.

Kinds

Before you start folding origami, you need to familiarize yourself with the types of this art. There are not many of them, and each of them has its own characteristics.

  • Classic origami is the traditional folding of paper squares.
  • Modules - creating figures and connecting them by nesting.
  • Kirigami is the same as origami, only using scissors and glue.
  • Wet origami - made from wet paper.

The art of paper origami for beginners has a positive effect on motor skills and helps them learn to use their imagination.

Decorating the house

Simple paper houses are painted at the stage of preparing the details. Applications can be decorated after assembly: most often this is done by coloring with colored pencils, felt-tip pens and paints.

After assembly and the glue has dried, three-dimensional houses are covered with a layer of gouache or acrylic paints, and then 2-3 layers of transparent varnish are applied. This approach will not only give a stylish appearance to the product, but will also significantly extend the life of the doll structure.

Paper plastics – Model of a city park

1. We made this model of a city park of culture and recreation for a school competition. At the moment, the project activities of schoolchildren (according to new standards of education) are becoming very important. So we were offered to take a role in the development of a project on an environmental theme.

2. One of the main criteria for a role in project development is a creative approach to work. That’s why we decided to make a model of a dream park, which we hope will appear in our new neighborhood in the near future.

3. Layout dimensions 70cm by 70cm.

4. I made the trees from colored paper (4 pieces were glued together, the trunks were painted with gouache).

5. Alleys are made of corrugated cardboard. Benches, lanterns, gazebo, sandbox, swings - made of ordinary cardboard.

6. The lawn is made of finely chopped corrugated paper.

7. The base of the flower bed is a tube made of corrugated paper, flowers and leaves are made of colored tinted paper. 8. The fountain is made of foil cardboard in three tiers.

9. I will be glad if someone needs our thought!

Master class on creating a house

In practice, you can often find master classes on making a three-dimensional house from cardboard and paper. The entire work process consists of several stages:

  1. Preparation of the drawing.
  2. Cutting out the component parts.
  3. Assembling the house.
  4. Decorating the finished craft.

The first two stages are especially important, because even for a toy house the accuracy of calculations and diagrams in the drawing is necessary.
