    The first time I tried boiled corn was at sea. The bright yellow cobs were incredibly tender, tasty and juicy. Subsequently, I tried to prepare such a delicacy myself, bought cereal and cooked it for 1.5 hours. We had to add water all the time, and the kitchen became unbearably hot. But I never managed to get the grains soft - they turned out tough and tasteless. Only after a while did I realize that I had bought too ripe cobs.

    According to the degree of maturity, cereals can be divided into 3 types:

    • milk maturity - the grains are very soft and watery, not suitable for cooking;
    • medium ripe – the grains are elastic, light yellow, and release juice when pressed;
    • ripe - the grains are tight, bright orange in color, and take a very long time to cook.

    Medium-ripe grains are suitable for quick cooking - corn needs to be cooked for only 20-30 minutes. To make the dish more juicy and aromatic, you can add leaves and stigmas of the culture, butter, and milk to the water. To get a piquant taste, you can add vegetable trimmings (onions, parsley stems, tomatoes) to the pan.

    You will need equipment such as a household kitchen extruder and a screw conditioner. During cooking, humidity and temperature indicators should be observed, as well as the necessary atmospheric conditions should be created. Only then will you get the right and high-quality product. In this chamber, corn blanks are dried until their moisture content decreases to 5%. This makes them crispy. And it is at this stage that the workpieces acquire their usual airy appearance and porous shape;
    6. The final stage is glazing. Here, the workpieces are first coated with filtered vegetable oil by spraying it onto the surface of the resulting products. After this, they are placed in a mixing drum along with the ground ingredients for glazing (powdered sugar, crushed salt, chocolate chips or various seasonings);
    7. With this our delicacy is ready. It will be as tasty as the product produced in the factory.

    Principle of operation

    The design features of the mechanism allow it to efficiently peel corn cobs. But time passed, there was no time to do this, the weaving was gradually forgotten. I decided to somehow remember how to weave from corn straws. I wandered around the Internet to remember. No, everything is wrong there. I fought for a long time. I remembered. I regretted that this is how the secrets of old craftswomen disappear. The head doesn’t remember, but the hands, in the end, remembered. Now I want to share this weaving technique with you so that it does not fall into oblivion.

    To weave you will need leaves from an ear of corn, hands and patience. That's it, nothing more is needed.

    The topmost and very hard leaves are not suitable for weaving. And we tear off the remaining leaves.
