The G1 homemade helicopter is one of the smallest and easiest to build homemade helicopters. It has the most simplified design, designed for one person, takes off and lands vertically, flies forward, backward, sideways and hangs. It can be stored anywhere, in the garage, at the dacha, in the apartment. Read completely "

The helicopter does not have a swashplate. It is built according to a coaxial design without cyclic pitch control.

Control is achieved by changing the center of gravity, engine speed and a small rudder for heading control. In my opinion, it is possible to build such a helicopter using gears from the final drive of a Ural motorcycle and a suitable two-stroke engine with a power of about 15 hp. However, if the rotor diameter is increased, the power required can be reduced.

DIY assembly of a real helicopter

Previously, no one could imagine that a real helicopter could be assembled independently. This innovation first appeared in the West and has been for quite some time.

A KIT kit is a set of parts from which you can later assemble a real rotorcraft. In terms of cost, it will cost you the same as buying a new car.

Another good news was the adoption of a new law in Russia. Now, as in other civilized countries, it is enough to inform about your upcoming flight. Previously, it was necessary to submit an application and wait for permission. Nobody knew when it would come. Suddenly you no longer have the desire to fly, the weather has deteriorated or your plans have completely changed.

Assembling a Mosquito helicopter is not at all difficult. It comes with precise instructions. If you do everything in strict sequence, then after 200 hours of training you will be able to become a full-fledged owner of your own helicopter. But if you make a mistake, you risk your life.

Advantages and capabilities The advantages of this model include:

— ease of learning to manage; — affordable cost; — relatively high technical and flight characteristics; — reliability; — ease of operation; - versatility.

The Mosquito helicopter can reach speeds of up to 180 km/h. As for the price, for Russian buyers it starts at $65,000. This is a very good plus in favor of its availability. You can learn how to control it in just a few hours.

Unpretentiousness in maintenance and reliability give the rotorcraft a special appeal. Weighing 115 kg, this device has autorotation. It allows you to make a calm and safe landing even with the engine completely turned off.

Equipment and modifications There are several possible configurations of this helicopter. The KIT kit is a set of 5 boxes. In addition, they come with complete step-by-step instructions for assembling a homemade helicopter. You can choose any place for it. Even a minimally equipped garage or workshop will do. If you are still not confident in your abilities, then you should not take risks. Contact certified specialists who will quickly organize an assembled version for you.

Modifications of this model are also available:

— Air; - XE3; - XE; - XEL; —XET.

Additional accessories will allow you to easily make your personal helicopter individual and unique. Source of the article: www.heli-school.ru - you can become a pilot with us.

Dandelion in epoxy resin

I have long had the idea of pouring dandelion into epoxy resin. Why I needed it, I didn’t know myself (spoiler, I still don’t know), but I really really wanted it. But after gathering my thoughts and reading about the technology, I decided to do it. I decided to do this last spring. The first thing we need is, of course, epoxy resin, molds (forms for pouring) and the actual molds themselves. We follow the well-trodden path to Ali and order epoxy resin and molds. While this whole thing was going through the Russian Post, the dandelions ended happily. I also didn’t think of collecting it in advance. In general, everything has arrived, but there is nothing to fill. Well, the mission failed, this post can be completed). We safely leave everything lying around until the next (that is, current) year and wait for the dandelions to bloom.

And now this long-awaited time has come, we can finally begin.

Dandelions are quite fragile creatures and will fly apart from any careless movement. I read that someone takes unopened flowers and puts them in boiling water, after such exposure it will fluff up. I took already opened dandelions and fixed them with hairspray.

We carefully insert the dandelion into the mold and close it with the other half

Mix the epoxy resin in the required proportion. It is necessary to strictly observe the proportions, so we use scales (preferably not floor scales). Pour the resin into the mold very slowly (so that no extra bubbles form). You have about 20 minutes to pour, after which the resin will begin to harden. The resin hardens in about a day.

For me, everything didn’t go according to plan; the resin began to get very hot. It got so hot that you could no longer touch it with your hand. When boiling, the resin bubbled, so the workpiece was damaged.

In general, let's do something new Misha, everything is bullshit.

I began to read why this could happen, perhaps due to the large thickness of the fill layer. I decided to try a different resin. I bought jewelry resin, it seems that it can be poured up to 5 cm thick.

We repeat everything again and fill it again. I removed the top part of the mold and it’s much better, there are no blisters.

There was a skirt around the perimeter at the junction of the two halves of the mold

Comparison with the original dandelion.

Now you need to sand off the skirt, the tail of the dandelion and polish everything.

I sanded the above parts with an engraver, then sanded the sphere itself manually with sandpaper. I sanded it wet, because epoxy resin dust is not a very useful thing, and this way the sandpaper clogs less. I started with 400 sandpaper and up to 2000. Also, do not forget to use a respirator. We end up with a matte sphere like this.

Next comes polishing. I polished it with two foam wheels using car polishes using a screwdriver.

Comparing with the photo immediately after pouring, you can see that the epoxy has turned a little yellow from exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

All that remains is to complete the suspension. Here again Ali helps out, they sell a lot of small things of this kind. To mount it, a hole is drilled in the sphere, a drop of epoxy is added, and the hanger is inserted.

Homemade helicopter from a snowmobile

We must pay tribute to the inventor - he created a working structure from scrap materials. Such inventors should be united in a design bureau to revive small aircraft. The helicopter was manufactured in 1979 in the city of Cherkassy. The entire structure is homemade, except for the engine. Parts from different techniques, wooden screw. Engine from the snowmobile “Buran”. Flies at speeds of up to 150 km per hour. It was tested at an altitude of 8-10 meters, but theoretically it can fly higher.
