A little history

It's no secret that any girl always wants to be beautiful, elegant and feminine, and at the same time not stand out from the general picture, following fashion and new trends.

As decoration, flower headbands have been around for a long time, dating back to the times of Ancient Greece. Greek women came up with the idea of decorating their hair with such headbands, adding flowers, ribbons, colored stones and headbands to them.

If we talk about the present time, then Lana Del Rey, a popular American performer, became the trendsetter of the “flower” fashion. Such headbands looked great on the singer and the reaction of her fans, and then everyone else, was not long in coming. Now girls all over the world are happy to decorate their hair with floral headbands.

Master class Craft product Modeling design Ukrainian wreath Corrugated cardboard

A wreath has always been and is a special amulet in Ukraine. This is not just beauty, but a “healer of the soul.” Because it has a magical power that relieves pain and preserves strength. Weaving a wreath is a whole science. You need to know which flowers to weave from and when, which potion to weave with which. There are twelve flowers in total in the Ukrainian wreath, and each of them is a talisman. We decided to decorate the corner of national symbols with this amulet. To create a wreath you will need: 1. corrugated cardboard 2. mounting tape 3. heat gun 4. satin ribbon (5 colors of 6m ribbon were used for this wreath) 5. artificial flowers, ears of wheat

Let's get started :-) I cut out 2 circle parts from cardboard of the desired wreath size. Please note that the bottom is narrower. Tapes will be attached to this area.

Using newspaper and mounting tape I create volume. If you don't have mounting tape, you can use regular tape.

I used the mounting tape to go over the entire form. At the end of the work it will not be visible.

On the reverse side, using the second part of the circle and a heat gun, I hid the mounting tape and gave the product a neat appearance from the reverse side.

I sorted out the flowers and leaves. I start filling the wreath.

After filling the wreath, I start tying the ribbons. I cut a 6 meter ribbon of 5 colors in half and made 10 ribbons of 3 meters each. The method of tying is the same as kitets on a scarf. I just make a loop to fit it in order to fix it on the wreath. The small end of the ribbon is hidden under the long ribbon.

The last decor on the ribbons is leaves. I added more ears of wheat. It turned out bright and elegant
