Don't forget about old fashion magazines. You can either get rid of them by throwing them in a landfill, or you can create a bright picture.

You don't need to do anything extra complicated. Just find and cut out the photos and pictures you like from spreads. Then, having chosen a good arrangement of the elements, glue the cutouts onto a paper base and hang them in a visible place.

Hedgehog

From pre-painted newspaper tubes you can make small crafts - animal figurines.

For the hedgehog you need to prepare:

  • 8 tubes - 4 light and 4 dark;
  • glue.

How to do:

  1. We fold the light tube in the shape of a drop and glue the ends together. The result is a blank - a body and a muzzle. We place the second light tube on top so that its tip becomes a tail.
  2. Using the long end of the second tube, we braid the body in a figure eight: bend it back, draw it around the base on one side of the tail, pass it through the middle of the body, draw it around the base on the other side of the tail, etc. During operation, it is necessary to ensure that the body maintains the shape of a drop.
  3. We leave the hedgehog's face unbraided. We fix the working newspaper tube with glue.

  4. We wrap the tip of the muzzle with a piece of dark tube to form a nose and secure it with glue.
  5. For the eye, roll a small piece of dark tube into a spiral and glue it.
  6. From short tubes folded in half we make legs for the hedgehog, threading them between the turns.
  7. We use the same principle to make hedgehog needles, cutting off the edges of the tubes at an angle.

Using spiral weaving from newspaper or magazine tubes you can weave wreaths, candlesticks and Christmas trees, and now you will see for yourself) Look how beautiful it is and will anyone guess that all this is just from old newspapers)

New Year's spiral weaving from newspapers

So, for work we will need the following materials:

  • paper straws - you can use newspapers, magazine pages, old school notebooks or cash register tape,
  • paper glue,
  • form for braiding - in this version it is a spray bottle of deodorant or air freshener,
  • tube paint,
  • wood varnish.

You can paint the tubes before work (with stain or dry dyes diluted in water), or after - with any paint, including iodine, brilliant green, hair dye, and so on. In the case of spiral weaving, it is best to paint with spray paint, since it is difficult to paint all the holes with a brush. Upon completion of the work, be it a wreath or a Christmas tree, the product must be varnished.

New Year's spiral weaving from newspapers. Let's get to work. We start with three tubes plus one auxiliary for weaving. We braid the bottle. We start weaving from the bottom. See photos that do not need comments:

We extend the tubes and glue them together during the weaving process. During the entire weaving process, we pull out the form for braiding, a bottle, from the resulting tube using spiral weaving. The spiral tube can be woven to any length you need.

Using this method, you can weave a Christmas wreath to decorate your festive interior. Or a horseshoe for happiness)

A strong version of the Christmas wreath with candles, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, fir branches and a poinsettia flower:

You can use spiral weaving to weave a floor-standing flower vase. Only in this case will you need a large braiding form - for example, a three-liter jar.

Formation of snowflakes

After all the tubes have been strung, pull the thread tightly and tie it with several knots. In addition, we distribute the “rays” of snowflakes in a circle. We make the same snowflake from tubes of a different color, but the length of these blanks should be 3.5 cm. Using a glue gun, we fix the blanks together, completing the composition with a small rhinestone or bead in the center of the snowflake.

To make the craft look festive and fabulous and elegant, the product can be coated with silver nail polish or glitter.
