Master class on making clothes for dolls from cardboard and yarn

Quick sewing of clothes for dolls

To sew a dress, you need to take measurements from the doll and prepare a pattern from two rectangles. One part will serve as a bodice, and the other as a skirt. Two pieces of fabric are sewn together, and Velcro is sewn on the back.

To sew a skirt, you need to take measurements from the doll and prepare the fabric of the required length.

It is very easy to make the necessary clothing patterns for dolls yourself; to do this, you need to take the necessary measurements from the baby doll or Barbie. A skirt can be whipped up from two rectangles of fabric; braid or elastic band is used as a belt.

Even a novice seamstress can sew such a skirt, since simplified tailoring is very helpful for those who do not know how to sew at all, but the child asks for new clothes for his pet.

Classic dress

To sew an evening dress, you don’t have to look for a tutorial video. It’s enough just to study a simple master class. As a result, you will be able to make a beautiful classic outfit for your doll yourself.

For work you will need:

  • pattern;
  • textile. For example, silk or chiffon;
  • lightning. It can be replaced with regular Velcro or buttons;
  • needle and thread;
  • scissors.

The first step is to start making the pattern. It can be printed on a sheet of A4 paper. All details are subsequently cut out from it.

All elements of the diagram are cut out, applied to the canvas and outlined. After this, all that remains is to cut them out, leaving small allowances.

Then the resulting pieces are stitched and thus assembled into a single whole. After completing these steps, you need to process the edges, insert a zipper or sew on Velcro and buttons.

If you don't create an overly complicated design, you can create a DIY outfit for Barbie very quickly. The work will take a maximum of 20 minutes.

Doll life Master class Sewing We sew a circle skirt for a doll Fabric

Good day, residents of SM! I decided to make a circle skirt for dolls. I hope you find it useful.

We will need: scissors, thread, needle, pen (pencil), elastic band 0.5 cm wide and 1 cm longer than the waist circumference, fabric ruler, measuring tape

To sew a skirt, we need to know only two values - the waist circumference (my doll has 8 cm) and the desired length of the skirt (my doll has 7.5 cm). Now we need to divide the OT (waist circumference) by 4. In my case it turned out to be 2.

Now we take the fabric and cut a square from it measuring approximately 25 by 25 cm (more is possible, it all depends on the size of the doll and the length of the skirt)

Fold the fabric in half with the right sides facing in

Once again. It turned out to be a small square. It is advisable to iron it with an iron, because... this will be more convenient for further work.

Now we need to find an angle on the square, on both sides of which there are no cuts, only folds (I am a master at explaining))). From this angle we will plot the length resulting from dividing OT by 4. Like this:

Fur coat

To sew a beautiful fur coat, you should make sure you have the following materials:

  • fur;
  • a piece of knitted fabric for lining;
  • silk or satin ribbon;
  • felt-tip pen;
  • needle and thread;
  • scissors;
  • Velcro.

You also need to print the pattern.

All the details of the future fur coat are cut out.

All that remains is to sew them, combine the fur with the lining fabric and decorate them at your own discretion.

Tulle skirt

How to make a skirt for a doll from tulle? You need to prepare a rectangular piece of fabric you like. It should be three times longer than the doll's waist. And the width is the same as the length of the skirt.

In the upper part, using a needle and thread, you need to collect the tulle into neat assemblies. So the upper part is reduced in length to the size of the waist. You can make several layers in the same way. Then fasten them with a belt and secure the clasp.

Method 3. Skirt with sock base

Again, we suggest using a sock. We previously talked about how you can make clothes from a nose for a baby doll. In this version, instead of an elastic band, we use a part from a sock.

Cut off the elastic from the sock. We lay the doll down and see where to make the cutting line.

Place Sandy on top and trace the boundaries of the body with a pencil.

Cut it out.

We measure the length of the fabric that needs to be made. Cut and tighten the fabric. We make 2 skirts if the width of the material is small.

Sew along one side.

Then we sew along the other side. We apply an elastic band, fasten it with tailor's pins and sew it on. As you work, stretch the elastic a little.

The skirt can be decorated, but you can also skip this step. If you still want to decorate the finished product, you can do this in several ways:

  • Decorate the clasp with a decorative bow or flower.
  • Also decorate the skirt itself with decorative elements. This could be a lace patch or rhinestones. It all depends on individual preferences.

In any case, it’s up to you whether to decorate the skirt or leave it in its original form. Be that as it may, the fitting already looks festive.

Paper dress for a doll using origami technique

You can make a craft using the origami technique: a paper dress for a doll, using a square sheet of colored paper according to a simple pattern, using any master class from the Internet.

The finished model of the dress must be glued to a cardboard base in order to see all the details and subtleties of the future accessory. The result is a three-dimensional sketch of the dress.

This technique can be used either when developing a pattern for a paper dress for a person, creating a miniature copy of the original, or as a decorative element when creating postcards by hand.

By gluing the resulting paper dress onto thick cardboard in a contrasting color, you can make a beautiful greeting card with a three-dimensional image.

Features of knitting clothes for dolls

Do-it-yourself clothes for dolls using knitting needles and hooks are quite an entertaining and creative activity. An openwork outfit, knitted to match a certain type of doll, looks very cute and quite attractive.

barbie dress stocking

For example, to create the simplest look for Barbie, you only need leftover cotton or wool yarn, a crochet hook and scissors. Since the doll is small, the work is quite painstaking.

Having taken the measurements, you should cast on the number of loops corresponding to the sizes and knit a simple classic English elastic band (the front and back ones constantly alternate with each other). The length of the elastic when finished will be equal to the length of the doll's tight-fitting dress. The finished part should be folded and sewn along the wrong side. The resulting product can be put on the doll. You can also decorate a dress or skirt with lace or small beads.

Baby Bon is the most favorite toy of children. Baby dolls have long conquered the hearts of children and their parents. For such toys, clothes that are typical for newborns are perfect: knitted bodysuits and overalls, openwork pants, tiny stitches with bows, etc. Small decor in the form of straps, ribbons and tiny flowers can also be crocheted with a thin hook.

Baby Bon

Interesting information! For Baby Bon dolls, simple garter stitch is used with a combination of lace details and inserts, which are mainly crocheted.

The Monster High crochet toy skirt is distinguished by its originality. Here you need to think about both the colors and the unusual shapes, since the monster dolls are very bright and original in themselves. An inexperienced craftswoman may not be able to cope with such work, so it is better to start with simple dolls and things for them.

Slippers

You can not only sew clothes for the doll yourself, but also make shoes. With a minimum of effort, you will be able to get original slippers that will obviously not be out of place in the wardrobe of Barbie or Monster High. To make them you will need:

  • yarn;
  • ribbon;
  • scissors.

The color of the yarn can be chosen at your own discretion. The main thing is to pay attention to the diagram. If you strictly adhere to it, you will be able to create an excellent wardrobe item. The central image shows the foot. This is where the knitting process begins. Then the workpiece is knitted in a circle.

All that remains is to thread the ribbons into the finished slippers. After this, you can try on the slippers.

Skirt for a big-legged doll

To make a skirt you need to prepare:

  • thin denim;
  • threads, sewing tools.

Description

We determine the length and width of the skirt panel, taking into account the folds. Mark on fabric folded in two layers.

We cut out blanks for the panel and belt. Don't forget to take into account seam allowances.

Sew the side seams, leaving an open section at the top 2-2.5 cm long along the left seam. We process all cuts with an overlocker.

We make one turn along the bottom edge and stitch along the front side.

Next, we will consider two options for making a skirt - removable and non-removable.

High heels

Designing heels is quite challenging, but really fun. All steps of their manufacture should be considered in as much detail as possible. For work you will need:

  • fabric size 100x100 mm;
  • cardboard;
  • miniature wooden blocks for creating heels;
  • glue;
  • a pair of beads;
  • rubber;
  • glue.

Step 1. Using the diagram, transfer all the elements onto the fabric and cut them out.

Step 2. Cut out the base of the insole from cardboard and glue the corresponding fabric element to the resulting part.

Step 3. Glue the back of this shoe model.

Step 4. Fix the toe and heels to the workpiece.

Step 5. Attach one bead to each clasp.

Having made a template from a pattern, in the future you can create many different shoes. In the future, it will take significantly less time to manufacture it.

Fluffy skirt with hair elastic

Typically, hair ties are sold in sets; 2-3 pieces are usually used per hair. In addition to hair, you can also make a belt for a skirt from an elastic band! We tell you in detail on the website.

We take a hair elastic, put it on the doll and measure the doll’s hips.

Cut off the excess. We sew the ends together and it becomes an elastic band again.

The fabric was rectangular, approximately 20 cm. Fold it in half. We start stitching and tighten the thread.

When they sewed it, this is what the skirt looked like.

Sew on the side parts. We make a hem, because such fabric is difficult to sew. We don't stitch it all the way through.

We sew the elastic to the skirt and put it on our model. If you wish, you can make a beautiful bow and sew it to the elastic band at the back for beauty, and also make a hair clip.

Outfit made of paper napkins with a fluffy bottom

Another technique for making a flat dress from paper, in which using paper napkins to create a voluminous bottom of a dress of different types:

  • Sun skirt;
  • pleated skirt;
  • layered skirt.

From thick colored cardboard you need to cut out the bodice of the dress and the belt. A round pattern for the skirt is cut out of napkins of a suitable shade, which, if necessary, can be folded like an accordion to make a pleated hem. You also need to decide on the length of the skirt in advance.

When all the details are ready, a fluffy skirt made of napkins is glued to the flat bodice at its lower part. The line for gluing napkins and cardboard is covered with a belt cut out of colored paper, which can then be decorated with rhinestones.

The finished dress is glued to the cardboard base with the back of the bodice so that the fluffy bottom is located harmoniously within the cardboard base. You can also make a beautiful postcard from such a blank.

Patterns

You can find ready-made options, but it’s better to do it yourself. It's easy to create a template for a doll. With its help you can develop any style.

Do-it-yourself dress patterns for dolls will help you quickly complete the task. For the template you need to take measurements. Then you should draw the main pattern. Based on it, different models are created.

How to work with paper

Paper is an excellent material for crafts, which has a variety of properties, thanks to which you can make dress elements of various volumes and shapes.

You can give the paper an original texture by crumpling it. After this treatment, the paper will easily take any shape.

Using scissors, you can cut patterns, flat pieces, patterns, or lace trim from it. You can make thin strips of paper and weave them into fabric of different weaves.

This paper-working technique is considered very labor-intensive. Beginning needlewomen can make paper dresses using simpler technologies based on bending, cutting and gluing paper elements of various textures and densities.

Skirts for Monster High dolls

Fluffy skirt with bow

For this model you will need:

  • textile;
  • beads of two colors for decoration;
  • floss threads;
  • wide elastic band;
  • threads, sewing tools.

Description

Using the proposed pattern, we cut out the details of the panel and bow.

Sew the skirt along one side seam. We process the cuts of the side seams, the top and bottom edges with an overlocker. Fold the bottom edge of the hem and stitch.

By stretching the elastic, we attach it to the upper edge of the panel. Fold it right side inward and sew the second side seam.

We fold the blank for the bow in half along the long side, sew along three sides, and turn it inside out. We tuck the seam allowances of the fourth side inward and stitch. We sew the bow into place by hand - see photo.

Double layer mini skirt

To make it you need:

  • fabric for the skirt - satin, silk are suitable;
  • fabric for a petticoat - guipure, lace, mesh are suitable;
  • Velcro tape (Velcro), narrow, small piece;
  • contrasting threads for stitching and threads to match the color of the fabric.

How to do

For the top layer, cut out a strip of fabric with room for frills. For the bottom layer, cut out a piece of longer length. We also need to cut out a belt - a strip of the required length. Since this model has a low rise, we determine the length of the blank for the belt by measuring the volume of the doll’s hips.

We process the cuts of all parts (except the petticoat) with an overlocker. We fold the bottom edge of the panel and stitch it with contrasting threads. We tuck and sew the top edge of the belt with contrasting threads. We gather and baste the lower and upper skirt to the waistband. We process the cuts with an overlocker. We attach the details to the belt with contrasting threads. Sew Velcro tape to the corresponding sides of the seam.

The skirt is ready.

Unsuccessful attempt

Fashion designer Amila Hrustic presented a dress made of paper cubes to the public. Such details are more difficult to make than volumetric circles.

The collection of Alexandra Zakharova and Ilya Plotnikov includes dresses with voluminous bows and rings.

If you didn’t manage to sew an outfit for yourself on the first try, ideas come to mind that are unlikely to be implemented in practice, you shouldn’t get depressed and give up on this idea.

Basic pattern of a new straight skirt for Barbie

Using this pattern, you can model various styles of skirts for your favorite doll.

Straight skirt with slit

For this model, you will also need to cut out one piece with a fold for the front panel and two halves of the back panel. In addition, you will need to cut a strip for the belt.

Flared skirt

In this model, the front panel is made one-piece, and the rear panel consists of two parts. There is a clasp in the center of the back panel.

Clothes made from old socks

It often happens that one sock disappears somewhere without a trace, and the second is left without a pair. You can give it a new life by making it into original clothes for your favorite doll. It will turn out original and stylish. Even a child can cope with such a task.

From an ordinary sock you can make various wardrobe items:

  • elastic band is suitable for a top and a skirt;
  • the top of the sock and elastic can be used to create a dress. The shoulders will be open;
  • long socks make a long dress;
  • the heel is used to create an extraordinary collar or hood.

You can make an unusual hat out of socks. They are also used to make a jacket. To do this, you just need to cut holes for the arms and head. If you sew sleeves to such a blank, you get a very unusual, stylish jumper.

Pleated skirt

To work you need:

  • thick fabric for a skirt;
  • thin fabric for bias tape;
  • threads, sewing accessories.

Description

We cut out the blank for the skirt panel according to the doll’s measurements. For us it is 13 by 80 cm. It is better to take the length with a margin, since it takes a lot of fabric to form folds.

We lay one-sided folds 10-15 mm wide and secure them with pins.

Iron the folds.

At a distance of 5 mm from the top cut, we machine stitch, fixing the folds.

We perform the second line, retreating 2 cm from the top cut.

We overlock all cuts except the cut along the waist line. We stitch the panel along the side seam, leaving an open area at the top 4 cm long. We make a line at a distance of 10 mm from the edge.

In the open area under the fastener, we turn back the allowances on the panels and fix them with a stitch, retreating 5 mm from the edge.

We make a 7 mm turn along the bottom edge, stitching at a distance of 5 mm from the fold.

On the bias binding we make two counter turns and iron it. We sew at a length of 25 cm. Then, without removing the part from the machine, we put the skirt with the top cut into the bias tape and sew further through both parts.

We finish by stitching the free end of the binding.

Design ideas

To create a unique dress, you can use not only newspapers, magazines or notebook sheets, but also candy wrappers, unnecessary photographs or postcards. There are no limits in the world of creativity, and some designers use paper to create real masterpieces. We invite you to look at the work of several costume designers:

  • Annette Mayer has created an interesting collection of historical paper dresses. The paper was selected with a floral print that imitates the design on cotton fabrics of the 19th century;
  • Zoe Bradley works with paper like a real architect. She has created a collection of dresses that look like real works of art. These outfits are used for filming in glossy magazines and commercials;
  • Jolys Paons creates her dresses from the pages of city telephone directories, which these days are no longer used for their intended purpose.
  • Amila Hrustić creates outfits from geometric three-dimensional shapes, which she glues together in advance from plain white paper.
  • Jum Nakao makes lace dresses by cutting out designs, just like we cut out snowflakes from paper for the New Year holidays.

Paper is a simple and affordable creative material from which you can create a fancy dress for school or kindergarten. Paper will allow you to show taste, a sense of proportion, and develop fine motor skills and imagination. From this material you can create flowers, cards, a dress and much more, which will delight both the creator and the audience.

Skirts for Barbie dolls

How to sew a skirt for a doll without a pattern

We need to prepare:

  • fabric - rectangle 11.5 cm by 19.5 cm. If desired, you can sew a skirt from two types of fabric, then divide the total size into the necessary parts;
  • elastic band, width 5 mm - 10 cm;
  • threads, sewing tools.

Description - how to sew a skirt

Let's consider making a skirt from two types of fabric.

Place the strips of fabric right sides together and stitch them together. The stitching can be done either on a sewing machine or by hand. We sew the edges of the allowances with a zigzag stitch or use an overlocker.

Iron the seam. Stitch the top and bottom edges. We fold the bottom edge and stitch it.

We retreat 15 mm from the top cut and attach the elastic, stretching it.

We first sew the seam in the direction coinciding with the direction of tension of the elastic.

Then we sew the stitch in the opposite direction.

It is very important to stretch the elastic evenly so that the fabric is gathered along its entire length.

We fold the top cut, covering the elastic band with it. Sew to form a belt.

How the doll's skirt looks at this stage on the front side is shown in the photo below.

And the next photo is a view from the reverse side.

Fold the skirt in half, inside out, and secure the edges with basting or pins.

We sew at a distance of 15 mm from the edge.

We sew the cuts and iron the seam. The skirt is ready!

Materials and tools for work

Regardless of the purpose of the future dress, first of all, the craftswoman needs to organize her workplace. You need to install a full-length mirror on one of the walls to be able to evaluate the result. High-quality lighting is the key to successful work.

The wide tabletop allows for painstaking work on the smallest details. Assembling and sewing a holiday accessory is best done on a tailor's mannequin.

Also for the creative process you will need the following set:

  1. Sharp tailor's scissors.
  2. Glue, threads, needles.
  3. Multi-colored crepe, paper, newspapers, toilet paper, paper napkins.
  4. Patterns are the most important element for making a dress. It should be remembered that any dress has a bodice, a belt, and a hem, but the shape, size, and cut features can vary dramatically from each other.

When working with corrugated paper, the use of threads and needles is allowed, but other types of material are best secured with glue.

The many faces of boho

The style is so diverse that the designers had to highlight several separate “branches”, each of which has its own characteristics. Tildomans believe that their boho or boho-chic doll has a soul. Therefore, when starting sewing, it is worth determining the style in advance:

  • Classic. Traditional boho is a classic combination of velvet and corduroy, wool and knitwear, decor in the form of antique lace, beads, and wooden buttons.

Classic boho tilde Tilde in a boho outfit

  • Glamor. This branch contradicts classic boho, but has a right to exist. He is impressed by lightness, luxury, and contrasting combinations. When sewing glamorous tildes, furs, bright floral prints, satin or chiffon, a lot of guipure and lace can be used.

Tilda in glamorous style

  • Eco - naturalness, naturalness in every detail. Linen and cotton, natural shades, vintage decorative elements, decorations for dolls made of leather, suede or wood.

Doll in eco style Eco - naturalness and naturalness in every detail

  • Hippie. The most original and striking phenomenon in fashion, which is characterized by ethnic elements and prints, embroidery, knitted details, fringe and even burlap.

Tip:

Tilda snail Tilde bears Yes, there is a ranking of directions, but no one can forbid combining, imagining, and creating. It is through experimentation that completely new design ideas for do-it-yourself clothing for dolls are born.

Postcard using contour quilling technique

This is a fairly simple technology, which is based on laying out thin paper strips twisted in different ways inside the created contour.

To create a feminine silhouette in a luxurious dress with a tight-fitting bodice and a wide floor-length skirt, you will need to choose the right colors of cardboard on which the paper pattern will be glued.

A contrasting combination of colors will look impressive: against a dark background, a light openwork image of a female silhouette made of paper.

To work you will need:

  • scissors;
  • thick cardboard of a dark shade;
  • colored paper, which will need to be cut into thin strips;
  • a wooden skewer on which the strips will be wound;
  • a piece of black glossy paper from which a female head will be cut out in profile;
  • colorless glue;
  • simple pencil.

To choose a beautiful silhouette for a dress, you can use photos from fashion magazines, which are used to create a sketch of a postcard.

The principle of making contour quilling is that strips of colored paper rolled into a tube are glued along the contour with glue with one edge, repeating the smooth lines of the sketch.

Inside the created voluminous female silhouette, a pattern of quilling segments is laid out in the dress, which is created using strips rolled into a tube and formed in certain shapes.

Fixed skirt

We fold the top cut and secure it with a basting stitch.

We outline the centers of the front and back panels, and the places of the side seams. Then I sew it myself like this: I put the skirt on the doll and, having placed the marks, I fix the four points of the upper cut. Then I lay down the folds and secure them with pins or stitches directly on the doll. Folds can be made either counter or one-sided.

Step by step lesson #2

If you want to spice up the decoration a little, try using a suitable photograph or drawn image of a real ballerina as the base:

Print two mirror copies of the same picture (you can rotate it 180 degrees around the vertical axis using almost any graphics editor). Cut and glue them together so that the finished figure is double-sided. We used this vintage image (clicking on the image will open the photo in full size, which you can use in your work):

While the base dries, cut out two identical rectangles from thick paper. Fold them like an accordion, then bend the resulting workpiece in half:

Glue the edges of the paper to each other on the inside of the folded accordion. When opened, the resulting “fans” should completely cover the hem of the drawn ballerina. Now you need to glue the blanks to the figure. Slightly unscrew the outer edges of the accordion and give the pack a curved shape. Apply a little glue to the edges and press them to the edges of the base. Glue the second “fan” on the other side of the figure.

To give the pack even more volume, you can attach another thin tissue paper on top of the first skirt:

To make a pendant, poke a small hole in the top of the figurine and thread gold or silver thread through it.

Ballerina made from napkins

And finally, the most unusual lesson! If you have a piece of thin wire and a napkin on hand, you can make a model like this:

To begin, twist the wire into a basic silhouette of a man with his arms raised.

Next, divide a regular table napkin into layers (usually there are 2 or 3). If there was a bright design on the front side, use this layer for something else, it will not work for our project.

Set aside a few intact layers of paper and tear the rest into strips about 3cm wide. It is very important to do this by hand and not with scissors. Take the wire “skeleton” and start wrapping it with strips of paper. As the paper covers the figure, apply colorless office glue diluted with water over it.

Skater skirt for MONSTER HIGH: MK video

Straight skirt

The back panel of the skirt can be cut out in one piece if elastic fabric is used.

If the fabric does not stretch, then it is better to make the back panel in two parts. For fastening, you can use Velcro tape or hooks.

Hawaiian hula image

The Hula skirt is a complete imitation of palm leaves and is made from bright green raffia straw. The length of this national costume is just above the knee or to the ankles. Making such a skirt yourself is very easy. For this you will need:

  • Green raffia grass;
  • Thin strips of paper or fabric;
  • Regular Christmas tree rain;
  • Packing tapes;
  • Thick elastic band.

Catchy garlands collected from fresh flowers will give the image a logical completeness. You can decorate your hair with a catchy flower or a wreath of fresh flowers.

Mandatory additions to the skirt

To create the look of a Hawaiian girl, you will need the following accessories:

  • A wreath of synthetic flowers or a necklace with voluminous beads;
  • Artificial flower in hair;
  • Stylish top, swimsuit top or tank top;
  • Loose hair;
  • Radiant smile.

Such products are rarely worn by Hawaiian girls; they are used at holidays and carnivals. Currently, fabric models made like the long skirts of Hawaiian girls are widely used.

Our master classes will help you create your own original skirt, in which you will shine at a party on the seashore, surrounded by people close to you. All that remains is to choose the materials from which it will be made and the shape. You shouldn’t focus your attention solely on your own appearance; you need to remember that the main thing in a Hawaiian girl is a great mood and a radiant smile that illuminates everything around.

Even if you didn’t manage to make such a skirt the first time, don’t be upset that you didn’t succeed, because making such a model is not that expensive. In a similar style, you can organize various parties, for example, your daughter’s birthday will be unforgettable if you organize it in the Hawaiian style, and for your princess you make such a skirt with your own hands, the beauty of which she will definitely appreciate.

Skirt for Japanese school uniform

For sewing you need:

  • fabric: crepe - satin or blue satin;
  • white tape - 3 mm wide;
  • buttons;
  • threads to match the color of the fabric, sewing tools.

Description

We cut out two rectangular pieces 7 by 10 cm and 7 by 25 cm.

On the larger part, we overlock the lower edge (if the fabric is not “loose”, then there is no need to overcast the sections, this note applies to all further references to the processing of sections for this master class), make a hem and stitch.

We attach a white tape at a distance of 3-5 mm from the edge. We overcast the side sections, make a hem and stitch.

On the second piece, we sew the side sections, make a turn, and stitch them.

Place both skirt pieces right sides together. We baste the panel to the belt, making even folds. The seam is made at a distance of 5 mm from the edge.

Sew by hand or machine stitch.

We turn the belt over to the wrong side, bending the sections inward, and secure with a basting stitch. We close the edges of the stitching seam and baste the belt again.

We perform machine stitching and remove the basting stitch threads.

We sew a vertical seam along the wrong side, leaving an open area.

Sew on the buttons.

Model made of synthetic ropes in natural beige color

To create such a model, you do not need a needle and thread. You need to get scissors and 3 m rope, and also buy a couple of skeins of synthetic rope. We cut the strong rope for the base of the skirt into 3 equal parts, connect them first, and begin to weave a braid, which will be our belt. We fix the ropes onto the finished belt; first cut them to the same length.

If the rope in rolls is too thick, you can divide it into small fibers, so the skirt will appear fuller.

After all the ropes are strung, you can connect the skirt at the waist and get ready for your fiery party.

Required materials

To create such an original skirt, we will need:

  • Garbage bags of different colors;
  • Gift ribbons for packaging;

Simple outfit analysis

Let's look at several options for making a dress from newspaper in the master classes below.

Option one

To work you will need:

  • newspapers;
  • scissors;
  • measuring tape, ruler;
  • needle and thread;
  • a simple pencil;
  • belt.
  1. To begin, unroll two sheets of newspaper, place them together and make a tight accordion. In total you need to make four such blanks. Then mark the waist line on the resulting accordions and sew on a sewing machine. Put a belt on the resulting top.
  1. Cut the top of the top into a semicircle shape. Straps can be made by folding sheets of newspaper like an accordion, without unfolding them, and sewing them to the top.
  2. Make the skirt by stitching single sheets of newspaper. To make the skirt more interesting, make the folds of the desired width.
  3. To make the skirt fuller, sew a peplum to it. You can make it by cutting a sheet of newspaper horizontally in half and folding it like an accordion.

Second option

To work you will need:

  1. Cut strips of newspaper 12 cm wide. Fold them horizontally 4 times. Make a neckline out of them, to do this, sew one strip to the shoulders of the dress and form a V-shaped neckline.
  2. To create a corset, you need to prepare a solution. Pour water into a container, add salt and PVA glue. Cut long strips, treat with mortar and glue around the body. There is no need to touch part of the back so that in the future you can change the size of the corset using a lace. Then let the top dry completely, then make holes in the back and thread a lace or satin ribbon through them.
  3. Continue gluing strips to fit the shape of the dress.

To create a voluminous outfit, you can make several layers. To get a fluffy skirt, the newspaper can be folded like an accordion, then straightened and glued to the product.

Show your imagination and create an extraordinary outfit!

Third option

  • newspaper;
  • scissors;
  • threads, needle;
  • stapler;
  • bra.
  1. To create the top of the product, cut double newspaper. Put on a bra and sew newspaper to it. Wrap it around your body to create a corset. Make the cut you want.

The basis of the outfit can be made not only from newspaper, but also from fabric, garbage bags and magazines.

  1. In order to create a skirt, you will need a lot of bags. Roll the newspaper into a cone shape and secure the corner with a stapler. Connect the resulting bags together on the base to make a skirt, as in the photo.
  1. To make a large collar you will also need paper. Place several newspapers on top of each other and cut a circle out of them. Inside the circle, make a hole slightly larger than the diameter of the neck. Make a cut from the center to the edge of the circle. Attach bags between sheets of newspaper, like on a skirt, to make the collar voluminous. Sew both parts of the collar to the bra cups.
  2. The image can be complemented with flowers made of paper, nails made of newspapers, whatever your imagination allows.

This extravagant outfit is perfect for a theme party or Halloween.

From newspaper you can make not only dresses for women and girls, but also fancy dress costumes for boys. You can make a robot or dinosaur costume out of cardboard.

A cowboy costume will also look very original. And without a doubt, the child will receive a prize for the best outfit.

You can also use a variety of paper to make accessories for costumes, for example, pirate hats, a dagger, flowers, crowns, horns, etc.

  4. Glue the foil onto a piece of cardboard and connect the mirror and tabletop.

Fabric doll products

For beginners, there are many different lessons and explanations, calculations, so as not to make mistakes in cutting. Otherwise, the thing may turn out to be either very large or very small.

You also need to focus on small details and decor to make the item look realistic.

Skirt made of household polyethylene threads

For this model we will need:

  • 3-4 skeins of household thread;
  • Scissors;
  • Satin ribbon for the waist.

First, you need to clarify the length of the future skirt, multiply it by 2, since you will be folding the thread in half. To make the threads even and neat, you can wrap them around the legs of two stools, cut them in half, and an even piece of thread will come out. We take a piece of tape of the required length, measure it for the waist, and fasten the ends together.

We also wind the tape around the legs of the stool, then string 3 threads onto the tape, tying them with a knot. The thread is quite rigid and slippery, so it is better to tie them in 3 pieces. You can tie artificial flowers to a separate ribbon for decoration and secure them at the waist. The Hawaiian skirt is ready to delight you and those around you at the party.
