Keeping the box folded flat, draw a line across the entire width of the box. Cut along this line to create a four-sided strip of cardboard that will form the base of the bowl. The remainder of the box can be placed in a recycling bin.- Make a fold on one of the wider sides of the cardboard base at a distance from the edge equal to about half the width of the adjacent narrow side. This fold will allow the rectangular shape of the base to round out when you unroll the dog bowl.
- Next, create a plastic liner for the bowl by cutting off the bottom of the bag. This cut should be made at a distance approximately twice the depth of the bowl from the bottom of the bag. For example, if your bowl is 5cm deep, the bag should be 10cm high.
Draw a line across the entire width of the bag and cut it along this line. Discard the top of the bag.- Place the bag inside the cardboard base and spread the edges out to the sides, similar to how you would insert a garbage bag into a bin. Straighten the bag so that it is securely attached to the sides of the base.
- Smooth the bag around the cardboard base until it is level with the surface on which you will be feeding and watering your dog.
