I found an old cleaver with a broken handle on the closet and decided to give it a second life. I liked the cleaver for its lightness, the thickness of the blade is only 1.2 mm, it’s perfect for chopping up little things in the kitchen. I must say right away that I have never made handles for knives before. Of course, I’ve seen how people do it, but I’ve never made something like this with my own hands.
- I picked up a piece of textolite for a 6 mm thick handle; I didn’t have anything from noble and hard wood nearby, and besides, why waste the material in vain.
