At all times, flowers have been recognized as the best decorative element in clothing and interior design; unfortunately, the beauty of living bouquets is short-lived. Knitted flowers can be an excellent alternative to fresh flowers, because with the help of a hook, thread and skillful hands you can create almost exact copies of them. Crocheting flowers is not that difficult, so novice needlewomen can quickly master simple patterns and begin creating the most beautiful buds.

The crochet technique involves making flowers of various shapes and sizes. Volumetric flowers can be knitted from several tiers of different diameters. From the semicircular petals located around the center, you can knit simple flowers with five petals.
Petals with sharp corners make daffodils, elongated petals make daisies or lilies, and narrow petals make carnations. Small cups are suitable for making lily of the valley or bells, and wide petals make orchids and poppies. You can make tulips from oval petals.
Flowers knitted like a ruffle look beautiful, when in each row the number of loops is significantly increased and the petal goes in a wave; if you gather such petals tightly from below, you will get a real carnation; it’s easy to assemble a rose from straight lace.

Features of using threads
What features should be taken into account when creating a bouquet from balls of yarn:
- To get voluminous balls, you need to use fluffy or thick yarn. Plush, mohair, angara or wool are suitable.
- When composing a composition with fresh flowers, you need to choose yarn that will repel water. From an excess of moisture, the balls can acquire an unpleasant odor, which will be difficult to get rid of.
- When placing balls on knitting needles or skewers, under no circumstances should you use glue. The threads will become unsuitable for needlework. It is better to take knitting needles with plastic stops, or glue a ball of foam or foil to the tip of a wooden skewer in advance so that the balls hold better.
If the appearance of the ball does not harmonize with the rest of the composition, then the threads need to be unwound and the skein twisted again, giving it the desired shape. Do not wrinkle or stretch the wound yarn. The threads may break and become deformed.

Basket with tulip flowers, master class!
The color of the buds can be completely different. Just remember the natural color scheme or take your favorite colors! You can make all the flowers different colors!
What material is better to use
In principle, you can use any thread. It all depends on how accurate a copy of the plant they want to get. For wool hats and children's hats, use wool yarn, maybe slightly shaggy.
For adult clothing, twisted yarn is used, similar to the thread from which the product itself is knitted. For crafts, you can choose a thick thread made of wool or cotton. Perfect copies of flowers are obtained from thin twisted thread. Buds made of silk or shiny viscose are very beautiful.
In any case, you need to use twisted yarn - it does not flake and is easier to work with. An interesting effect is obtained when using section-dyed yarn. The composition of the yarn can be chosen to suit your taste - wool, silk, acrylic, viscose, synthetics, cotton.
Simple crochet flowers for beginners
In this part of our selection, we want to collect the simplest color schemes that are not difficult to knit. Sometimes they are very useful for decorating booties, hats and other small items.
The whole point of knitting a simple flower is this:
- we knit the middle from a ch, if you want there to be no hole in the center - the number of loops should be 3-4-5, if you need a hole for a bead, then 6-8.
- 2 rub. from st b/n, the number of columns should be 2 times greater than ch.
- 3 rubles from petals - 4,5,6 pcs. The petal is knitted in a combination of large and small stitches. For example, Art. b/n, 2-3 st. s/n, st. b/n. - this is the simplest petal.
- the smallest flowers have 2 rubles. It’s better to skip it and immediately crochet the flower petals.

Flowers on a fork or ruler
This is a slightly different option for making decorative flowers from threads. When making flowers using this technique, beautiful miniature crafts are obtained that can decorate a scarf, handbag, decorative wreaths or handmade notebook. For the flowers on the fork you will need:
- fork;
- medium thickness knitting thread;
- scissors;
- needle.
Step-by-step option for making a flower with a diameter of 5 cm:
- Wrap the thread between the tines of a fork 20 times. If the yarn is too dense, then 15 turns will be enough.
- Cut the thread to leave a tail 30 cm long. Thread it through a needle and wrap each tine of a fork vertically.
- Pull one edge together, tying the ends into a knot to form the first petal. Make six more petals in this way.
- Pull all the components of the flower together. You can sew a decorative bead in the middle.

Blue poppies are not exactly poppies, but their relatives, meconopsis. I hit the color scheme pretty accurately, but with the leaves I was very wrong. They shouldn't be so cut up. I didn't bandage it. For the stamens, this time instead of semolina I used glitter powder purchased at a nail design store. It turned out well, but according to the idea, the stamen filaments should have been lighter than the pollen. However, impregnation of the thread with PVA changed its color exactly to the shade that the powder has.

Then we tie it in a circle with single crochets, single crochets, and 2-4 crochets.
Then you can tie it with single crochets or *single crochet, 1 chain stitch*. With the latter option, the edge is made of small loops. If you don't tie it, the edge loops will be larger.

"Mimosa"
You can make a bouquet of balls of yarn in the shape of a mimosa branch with your own hands in 1.5 hours.
What you will need for work:
- yellow acrylic yarn;
- thick green floral wire (No. 20, diameter 1.1 mm);
- green corrugated paper;
- PVA glue;
- small foam balls;
- green floral ribbon;
- satin ribbon;
- wire cutters
First, the wire must be cut into pieces using wire cutters. The table lists the number of segments and their length.
Number of segments | Length, cm |
3 | 30 |
2 | 25 |
6 | 18 |
2 | 15 |
2 | 10 |
Procedure:
- First you need to collect the branch on which the inflorescences will be located. Place a 30 cm piece of wire vertically in front of you.
- Attach 2 pieces 25 cm long to it. Bend their edges to the sides. Secure the stems with pieces of floral tape at the top and bottom. The lower ends of the wire should be at level 1.
- By analogy, wrap 2 pieces of 18 cm each with tape.
- Secure 2 wires 15 cm long.
- Attach the last 10 cm pieces.
- Wrap the resulting stem tightly with floral tape.
- Bend back the branches.
- Temporarily set aside this stem. Now you need to make 2 branches of leaves. A piece of wire 30 cm, connect with 2 pieces of 18 cm each. Wrap the lower part of the stem with tape. By analogy, make branch 2.
- Cut the corrugated paper into strips 5 cm wide. It is important to cut it along the grain and not across it.
- Make a fringe on each ribbon by making transverse cuts. The width of the uncut edge is 1 cm, and the width of small strips is 0.5 cm.
- Coat the uncut edges of the paper strips with PVA glue.
- Wrap them around branches simulating leaves.
- Straighten out all the “needles”. Dry the product.
- Take a stem intended for inflorescences. Grease the tip of each branch with PVA glue.
- Place 1 foam ball on each branch.
- Unravel a skein of yellow yarn and twist it into 9 small balls of 5 cm in diameter. There is no need to tighten the threads. The skeins should be light and soft.
- Tuck the loose ends of the threads into the balls.
- Place the balls on the branches.
Collect leaves and inflorescences into a bouquet, tie the stems with a satin ribbon. Tie a fluffy bow. Trim the excess tape and burn its ends with a lighter to prevent them from unraveling.

great yarn, say goodbye to leftover yarn forever
Is your house filled with half-used balls of yarn? Don't despair if your closet doors won't close. There are plenty of ideas for decluttering projects - and we've rounded up the best for you.
Whether you want to make an afghan, love pillows, or something less will be enough to use up your excess items, the following patterns will get your hook working and your yarn back under control.
1. Amazing wallet toss
This magnificent throw is a great treasure. The individual hexagons are nice and compact, so they're great for those pieces of yarn that are too big to throw away but too small to use easily. They're also the same color—less ends to worry about. Don't forget that although these instructions only use one range of yarn, you can choose any yarn you have on hand from any of your previous projects as long as it is the same weight.
2. Good old grandmother
Grandma really knows better when it comes to crochet - the traditional granny strip is perfect for using up lots of half-lengths of yarn. This lovely example is cozy, colorful and truly desirable. If your yarn doesn't stretch to a large cast, this is the perfect stitch for pillowcases and pillows.
3. Bouquet from leftover yarn
Make a decorative element out of yarn!
4. Hangers
Everyone needs a hanger - with a little crochet work and some imagination, you can use a variety of your own to decorate them and take them from utilitarian to unique. Hangers make practical gifts and you can style them to suit your friends or the occasion - shades of white for the bride, pink for the little girl and so on.
5. Pencil case
Keep your favorite pens on hand or create this little project for the kids - it's the perfect back-to-school item that will be truly appreciated and will make a nice dent in your stash.
6. Rings and more
If you have a bunch of decorative lurex or fluffy yarn prims and don't know what to do with them, then you'll love this idea. Why not crochet fun faux rings? They only take a few minutes to make and look really pretty. If you're wearing your own cardigan or shawl, you'll love making a matching or contrasting ring. Or why not create one for your friends? If you are unsure about rings, make a larger bracelet.
7. Stashbust Scarf
Sometimes the best way to finish the yarn of a big project is to start another project—just something not quite as big. How about this beautiful colorful scarf? As you can see, it is multi-colored, so it will use up the remains of all kinds of blankets and blankets.
